This is going to sound like an odd question, but I feel I have to ask it. I
have only read 3 or 4 of the Ranma manga, and have watched between 11-20
anime episodes. Now, here is the question: Is Akane bisexual/gay? Now,
before you mail bomb me let me explain. I have read many fanfics that
indicate that Akane may be gay or bisexual, and I have read more that HAVE
her thinking of and or having sex with females (like girl-type Ranma; the
story that drives me to ask this is called Rejected) Is there any
indication in the manga/anime that Akane could be gay/bi (other than being
a tomboy)

No, there is no indication in the manga or anime that she is bi or gay.
She does exhibit negative reactions to the thought of girl-type Ranma
kissing her at least once (in the Phoenix-pill final story at the beach
[manga] or ski resort [anime]).

Even if she does get 'comfortable' with Ranma's girl side, you still
couldn't say she was bi or gay since Ranma is a man, despite his curse.
As Ranma would say: "I'm a guy, damnit! Akane, please massage my breast
harder..." :) You need new words to describe their relationship: "Gender
indifferent" for instance.

As readers of Childhood of a Modern Dynasty know, I'm exploring these
issues as Akane has gotten used to her three fiancees.

     Kasumi found her father cradling her mother in his arms. He
had run out of tears to shed long ago, but the expression on his face
told the story. Kasumi calmly slid the door closed and knelt down
facing her father and mother, tears started flowing from her eyes.

     After several minutes of silence, Soun asked with a scratchy
voice, "Kasumi dear. Will you please say goodbye to your mother and
then go get Mr. Saotome?" He didn't look up at his daughter once.

     "Of course, Father," Kasumi said. She stood up, took one of her
mother's hands in hers, and said a soft, "Goodbye, Mother. I'll keep
my promise."
