I'm sending this to the list as I feel it may be of general
interest.

There are two "Nerimas" in Tokyo.

Nerima ward ("Nerima-cho") is huge, taking in (I would guess) 
about 10% of Tokyo (well, the bit coloured purple on my map,
which is a street map of greater Tokyo... I assume that's 
the "metropolitan" bit, but I've been lazy and haven't sat 
down with my kanji dictionary yet).  It is far and away the
largest ward in area in all of the metro area as far as I can
tell.

At the next level down in Tokyo's hierarchical geographical
subdivision, which I will call a "suburb" for the lack of a
better word, there also exists a "Nerima".  In the south-east
corner of Nerima ward, it contains "Nerima" rail station
and is probably the "Nerima" that RT refers to.

As an interesting factoid, apparently Nermia-the-suburb is
the most densely-populated area of Tokyo.  I don't know 
what to make of that claim; the reader can evaluate the
veracity of it himself.  But assuming it's a bedroom suburb
with only the minimum amount of business required to support
the households, I guess that makes sense.  Maybe.
