	Maro-chan eyed the boy suspiciously.  The kid was trouble.
That much he could tell.  Sana, naturally, was oblivious to the danger
he represented, but that was why she was being watched over.
	This was something he'd have to talk to Mama about later.  As
it was, she seemed to realize the trouble as well because she was
keeping the boy in sight at all times.
	It was just a few minutes later that Mama escorted the boy out
of the house.  Maro-chan watched the sullen looking lad walk away from
the house and chittered quietly.
	"I know," Mama answered him.

	Maro-chan sat patiently on the floor as Mama retrieved a
glass of very warm water.  It was just as they thought when they'd
discovered the little girl all those years ago.  She was the key; not
the most important element, but definitely the key.
	Mama returned with the water and poured it over Maro-chan.
"She's in danger," she said as Maro-chan's shape changed to that of a
handsome young man.
	"That boy," he replied, slipping on a robe.  "He's the one.
Will Rei be able to protect her?"
	Mama shook her head slowly.  "I don't believe so.  We'll have
to watch her closely.  That boy has the blood!"
	"I know.  Devil child indeed.  If the Overfiend awakens,
Sana's life will be in danger."  Maro-kun looked out the window, his
hand clenched into a fist.  "I'm going back to talk to the council; I
don't think there's any other way."
	"They won't agree to it.  You know that, and they'll likely
try to punish you for your efforts."  Mama looked as grave as ever,
but her words held an urgency in them.
	"I know, but it can't be helped.  We have to stop Hayama
Akito!  We can't let the Overfiend awaken!"
