Saying that this technique is used on inorganic matter isn't quite
right. It's worked on wood (dead wood, as in a floor, but that's beside
the point) which is definitely organic.
Note that this was in the manga so it may not apply to the anime.
Take a look at that manga again, then. It wasn't the Bakusai Tenketsu,
it was the Baku_chai_ Tenketsu.
Takahashi has been known to distort things for the sake of a pun, and
I, for one, don't object too much. :)
