For whatever reason C&C and responding to it has become a real problem on
this list.  Lets face it folks, the reason this list was created was so fanfic
writers could get their fics reviewed.  Right now the spam is piling up and
the C&C is almost non-existant.  The FFML as a group is going to have to find
a solution to this problem.
	If a writer does not want C&C then they should indicate this in their
author's notes.  Otherwise the assumption must be that the author is willing
to accept any type of C&C.  Even if it is negative.  If you recieve a negative
comment deal with it in a mature manner.  By sending mail bombs or writing
death threats you discourage people from reviewing fics.  When people stop
responding to fics the authors stop writing them.  What happens to the FFML
then?
	Right now the members of this list are becoming afraid of writing C&C.  Who
can blame them.  Personally I've gotten so desperate for C&C that I'm willing
to accept flames.  I've recieved zero responses to my last two fics and I'm
starting to think I'm wasting my time posting to this group.
	Lets end this problem right now.  For those of you out there who do not feel
you can accept negative critism, please indicate it on your fics.  If you feel
that a MST will offend you say so in the author's note.  People who read your
fic should respect your wishes.  If they don't, then you have a valid gripe.
	Don't take C&C the wrong way.  Being informed of a confusing passage helps
your writing and improves your fic.  Don't take helpful C&C as an insult, it's
they only way you are going to improve your writing.
	People who give C&C have a part in this as well.  Read your comments to
yourself before you send them.  Do they sound offensive and mean?  If so fix
it.  If you have the time to be intentionally mean go find a new hobby.
	I hope everyone follows these guidelines.  Lurker hit the nail on the head
when he said it is an issue of maturity.  Do the mature thing.  Lets end this
stupid problem and make C&C the driving force on this list once more.
