A Human Super Saiya-jin
Chapter 1
The sun rose slowly over Nerima, and the peaceful chirping of the birds
gently woke Ranma from his blissful sleep. He got up quickly and began his
early morning exercises. doing push-ups, crunches, and executing a few basic
punches and kicks to get the blood in his veins flowing smoothly.
His father, in panda form, was still asleep, curled up in a fetal position,
calmly sucking on his hairy thumb. 'Stupid old man,' he thought, 'maybe I
should wake him.' He drew a fist back, ready to bludgeon his own father to
consciousness, but then stopped. "Nah." he said softly. "Let him sleep."
He got dressed quickly and stepped out of his room, his eyes sighting a door
across the hall. "A...Akane.." Ranma gazed longingly at Akane's bedroom
door. Imagining her sleeping peacefully in her cozy bed. Her porcelain face
relaxed and very angelic.
He stood just outside his room, dressed in his favorite red shirt and black
pants. He quietly walked towards her room and lifted his hand to knock. But
stopped short. "What am I doing?!" He whispered fiercely to himself. Then
he sighed and thought, 'I want to...but I just can't.'
He closed his eyes, trying to stop the flow of tears from coming, but a
small tear escaped, flowing slowly down his cheek. 'Baka! *Real* Men don't
cry!' He hung his head low, dropped his hand, turned from the door, and
walked slowly away.
As he got farther from Akane's room, he began to speed up and half-ran down
the steps and bolted for the door leading outside. Not even noticing
Kasumi's cry of "Oh, my!" When she hit the ground firmly on her butt,
knocked over by his sudden exit.
The morning was cool and the chill air cleared the fog which had formed in
his mind. He walked calmly to the edge of the koi pond and folded his arms
across his chest. His eyes looked blankly into space, as thoughts whirled in
his head.
--
Akane awoke abruptly, her eyelids flapping open. With a low groan, she got
out of the covers. It was cool in her room, and she shivered slightly. She
walked over to the window and sighed. It was a new day, and something in her
heart promised that this would be a day of revelations. Her eyes fell to
the figure standing at the edge of the pond.
His stance was proud, almost cocky. His back straight, his legs together,
and his arms across his chest. The wind blew gently against him, making his
pigtail, seem to dance. Akane stared out the window in awe, it was very rare
that she could see Ranma like this. Without the arrogance, and the macho
charade. 'He really is handsome...' she thought.
Ranma, with a grim look on his face, began to slowly stretch his muscles,
loosening the knots caused by sleep. Urging the blood in his veins to flow
smoother, giving his body more nourishment and strength.
He fell into a standard fighting stance, right leg forward, knees slightly
bent and began to throw punches and kicks at an invisible opponent. Each
movement precise and calculated. As the speed and grace of the kata
increased, his hands and feet became a blur. A strike became a block, and a
block became a strike. He moved to a hidden rhythm. A rhythm that he alone
knew and mastered.
Akane sighed as she tore her gaze from the window. Looking at Ranma like
that stirred feelings within her that she both feared and longed for. She
moved to her closet, grabbed some clothes and prepared for a bath.
--
Ranma finished his last set of techniques and rested his hands to his sides.
Taking a slow deep breath, he bowed to his invisible opponent ending his
kata.
"You're late, Oyagi." Ranma said without even turning around or giving any
indication that he knew his father was trying to sneak up on him.
Genma froze for an instant, surprised. "Don't be cocky, boy! A true Martial
Artist..."
He never got to finish his sentence. In one smooth movement Ranma thrust
back his right leg, twisting his body, and connecting fiercely against
Genma's stomach.
Genma rolled backwards with the blow and quickly got up into his own
modified karate stance. A frown apparent on his face. "I guess it's time
for your old man to teach you a lesson, boy!" he said. Before charging
straight for his unmoving son.
A cocky grin appeared on Ranma's face as he gauged his fathers movements, as
he moved into his own defensive stance. And thus, their morning sparring
session began.
--
"Breakfast!" Kasumi's pleasant voice filled the air, signaling the two
combatants to stop. Ranma landed on a rock by the koi pond. His breathing
heavy, as he rubbed the back of his left hand across his forehead. The old
man was in fine form today. Surprising him with some new techniques that
almost got through his defenses.
Genma landed not far away. His gi plastered to his body by sweat. "Ok, boy,
you heard what she said. Time to wrap this up!" With determination on his
face, he launched back into the air. Daring his son to meet him.
"Whatever you say, old man!" Ranma responded. As he also, soared into the
air. Somehow making his words sound like a battle cry.
They met in the air, trading lightning fast punches and kicks, in a matter
of seconds. It always surprised Ranma, on how good his father really was in
the Art. If only he wasn't such a sniveling coward...
The match ended as it always did, with both Soatome and son landing in the
koi pond, and each of their curses activating.
A soaked panda and red haired girl, walked miserably towards the breakfast
table. Ranma-chan plopped down at her regular spot next to Akane, staring
daggers at the giant panda that sat across from her. "That was a lucky shot,
Oyagi! If I hadn't..."
"Nonsense, boy!" The panda signed. Somehow cutting off Ranma's words with
a wooden sign.
With a grumble of discontent, Ranma began to devour his food at haste.
Hoping to get most of it down, before his father could get to it. He didn't
feel like arguing...much. At least not today.
--
"Give up Kakarotto! I've got you this time!" cried Vegita as he sent
another blast towards Gokou. The blue blast soared through the space
between the two combatants faster than the blink of a Saiya-jin eye.
The cocky grin on Gokou's face was replaced by surprise, as the blast
crashed through his defenses and impacted heavily against his chest,
knocking more than just wind from his lungs.
A cloud of dust and debree blurred both Saiya-jin's vision. Momentarily
stopping the battle. On the sidelines, Gohan, Piccolo and the rest to the Z
team held their breaths.
Vegetta, his massive golden aura surrounding him like wild fire; his golden
hair seeming to dance as pure KI ignited from every pore in his body; and
wicked green eyes, stood in a ready stance. Taking in slow even breaths as
he fought to control the rush of energy and power that all Super Saiya-jin's
feel.
Before the dust even had a chance to settle, a golden blur emerged and shot
straight towards Vegetta. He barely had enough time to dodge a punch to his
face, but unfortunately, that left his stomach wide open for a fierce jab
that almost sent him to his knees. Clenching his left hand into a tight
fist, Vegetta began to gather energy for a retaliation strike.
"TIME!!" Piccolo's voice rang across the battle field. Instantaneously,
Gokou powered down and moved into a relaxed stance. "Good match, Vegetta."
he said with his usual cheerful voice.
"Hmmph." Was Vegitta's reply as he smashed his Ki powered fist into Gokou's
stomach. Causing the Saiya-jin to crash into a nearby mountain side. "Yes,
good match." he said, before flying off.

Author's Notes:
This is my first real try at fanfiction. I've got an outline of the plot
for this story but, it'll take me sometime to write it down. I don't know
how some of these writers can put out work as fast as they do. But for me,
I gotta struggle, just to get one chapter out! :p
Oh, well. C&C would be greatly appreciated. And any other ideas or
comments.
Heck even flames are excepted, at least then I'll know what *not* to do.
