In ancient times...

The red sun flew high behind a cloudy sky as the green fields below it
swayyed in cadence with the wind, which seemed to blow stronger as the
moments passed.

Browned leaves lifted up into the air as they tore free from the
branches of withered trees, while dust drifted aimlessly over exposed
roots and the cracked mud of the roads.

***

In the emptiness of an almost deserted stone castle. An old man walked
it's silent halls, his steps reverberating within the hollow confines of
the hall as he passed stained glass windows and elaborate silk
tapestries. Crossing an elegant marble floor and vanished behind a heavy
oak door as he stepped outside into the windblown battlements of the
castle.

He carried a long piece of undecorated wood, as he held his blue robe
closed with his wrinkled hand, letting the fabric swish and curl at the
touch of the wind as it trialed behind him as he walked. His snow-white
beard and silver hair were pressed to his thin and frail chest as he let
go of holding his robe and held fast to his matching rimmed and conical
shaped hat. His ageless and wisened eyes looked annoyed as he watched
the countryside.

Dark times where coming he thought, as he rubbed his snow-white beard.

Dark times indeed...

A hawk cried overhead and he squinted his eyes to look at it as the wind
pressed hard on his face. He grimaced slightly, feeling the irritation
in his eyes as the wind and the light of the sun bore down on him. He
saw the hawk circle slowly up in the air, descending gradually as it
gave out yet another cry; the old man smiled up in recognition as he
held out his arm for it to perch on...

Sharp talons bit into his flesh, yet the man gave on indication of
feeling any pain, as the hawk adjusted its grip on his arm and folded
its wings. Preening its feathers as the old man stroked back it brown
and white feathers.

"What should I do, my old friend?" The old man asked the hawk perched on
his arm, in a voice mirroring his age. The hawk just turned its head
away, looking at the shadowed countryside.

"With my King stricken to bed and his knights and defenders of the realm
scattered to the four conners of the earth. His people dishearted and
weak, leaderless in the face of darkness. And the sword, lost in the
wilderness..." He spoke with a heavy heart.

"What am I to do?" The old man felt the weight of the world pressing
down on his frail and age-old shoulders as he too turned to the
countryside; seeking answers he badly needed in these troubled times.

Dark clouds hovered far in the horizon, blanketing the ground and
mountains underneath it in darkness. And somewhere, in that sea of
darkness, he knew they lay waiting; waiting for the right opportunity to
end what they've begun. The barrier separating he erected would fall
soon...

But there may be time left...

A group of teens are walking through a jungle...

"Damn it Ryouga! Where did you take us this time?" Ranma cried angrily
as he swatted a branch that was in his way.

"Shut up Ranma! I know what I'm doing"

"Yeah right..."

"Quit complaining Ran-"

"What have we that-"

"Oh be quiet Kuno baby"

"Silence woman! Can't you see I'm speaking-"

"Ahh guys... I don't think we're in Japan anymore..." Mousse said from
the back.

"Huh"

"What you talk about Mousse- ohh" Shampoo sighed as the entire group
emerged from a veil of vines and into a quiet meadow. And on this
meadow, looming on top of a hill in the horizon was a magnificent
castle...

"Aiyah, Shampoo no see big big house before..."

"Wow..." Ukyou wispered.

"Where...what..." Ranma stared in shock.

"I believe I can answer your question Ranma" An old and wisened voice
said from behind them as they all turned around to see an old man. They
followed with their eyes as the old man walked amoung their group and
stood out in front of them; the castle behind made a superb backdrop as
he spoke, adressing the crowd of martial artist.

"I- am Merlin, and I'd like to welcome you all to Camelot..." spreading
his outstreched hand tot he castle behind him...

"Camel...WHAT!" They all shouted as they broke off arguing among each
other.
Merlin just shook his head, thinking "what have I done..."

~ End ?

Explanations:

I wrote this idea cause I wanted to see what would happen to Ranma and
crew when they suddenly find themselves in Medieval Times. They could be
fighting dragons and evil monsters, sorcerers and the like etc...

So I just thought of the most convenient way of putting them there,
summoning them by means of a powerful wizard so that they could probably
stop a menacing evil force. Now I thought, there's an idea, maybe
somebody would want to continue it? Shame to waste or leave it rotting
in my hardrive, so here it is. ^_^

"Sir Ranma..."

"My lady Ukyou..."

"Most gallant knight Ryouga"

"I shall smite thee, dragon!" *CHARR* "Uhhh..." *plop*

blah blah blah...You get the idea ^_^

Well I hope you like the idea so far. And if there's anything you got to
say about this fic, please tell me. Even a short reply would be nice. In
fact, I implore you to do so. Please send all C&C, MST or even flames to
the address below or to the FFML if you feel bold enough to do so.

And if you're curious as to what other stories I've done. Please don't
hesitate in visiting my sister's web page at:

Anyway, that's that for my rant. ^_^
