the moment, oh well. The premise is this 'Ranma goes through the
neko-ken training but somehow, possible some kind of divine
intervention, he retains his sanity, but gains an extreme fondness to
cats. possible repercussions is adopting catlike behaviors, possible
different curse to more suit the change, the skies the limit here. Also
tied in here could be Ryoga learning a similar inu-ken (or dog-fist) to
possibly explain his short temper, tendency to lash out when angered,
and the incredible strength.

	this actually might be a pretty good idea...just keep the curse of
Ranma the same.  With Ryouga, however, instead of the 'dog' fist to give
him something to do with wolves.  The fangs, the strength...make him a
werewolf?  Nah...too scary.
 

FF7/Ranma fusion:
now, hear me out before you dump this idea. Now anyone that is familiar
with the characters in FF7 might see how some of them could just
perfectly fit in a ranma universe setting. some places would be:
Cloud: Ranma (our heroes of course)

   might work...

Tifa: Ukyo (old childhood friend of cloud, some romantic feelings)

   oh yeah

Aerith: Kasumi (who else could fit in this spot really?)

   Aeris (it _is_ pronounced Aerith, but spelt Aeris) is actually a bit
more free with her emotions.  Kasumi just seems happy all the time...tho
the match is pretty good

Yuffie: Akane (both tomboyish and the short hair) 

   Yes...but you'd have a problem mixing Akane into a ninja.  Her attacks
are to straightforward.  Maybe Ranma's female half instead.

Rufus: Kuno (come ON, now this is just obvious) 

   Good match

Reno (possibly Sephiroth): Ryoga (pain in the neck rival/equal)

	Sorry, no.  Ryouga wouldn't have the control or focus to be Sephy.
And he wouldn't have that carefree attitude to be Reno.

Vincent: Mousse (only thing missing is the focused infatuation....maybe
Lucrecia? nah...)

	This would be a good match...except make Mousse's attitude a bit
darker.

Cait Sith: Genma (just make the moogle form the curse and I could see a
pretty good fit here...)
Heidegger/ Scarlet: Principal and Kodachi Kuno (pompous oaf and Insane
whip girl, need I say more?)

   oh yah.  

Bugenhagen: Cologne (I'm sorry, but they just hit me as old, wise, and
oh, I don't know. I guess the mentor person of the story)

   hmm.  Possibly...possibly

some not so close combos would be:
Hojo/Happosai

   not even.  Happosai is _too_ much of a pervert.  Happosai wouldn't give
a damn about his 'son'...tho he would use the excuse of an experiment to
get a girl in his bed.  And they both are knappy lookin'.

Barret or Cid/Soun (*laughs* I would just LOVE to see this!)

	No...neither of the personalities match.  Barret could possbily a
Tarou...both are tall, dark, and menacing.  But Tarou is much more
intellegent then Barret is made out.  Actually...Sephy.  Yes...Tarou could
be Sephiroth.  Ryouga could be Barret.
	Cid would be a possible match with Soun...make him teary-eyed
whenever he talks about Shera...but no.  
	Actually...Soun would make a good Godo.  Soun, the last of his
line in Wutai, father of Akane the ninja...

	So here is my idea.

	Cloud:  Ranma, a man with few memories of his past.
	Tifa:  Ukyo, a young lady who cares deeply about Ranma
	Barret:  Ryouga, friends with Ukyo, but doesn't really care for
Ranma
	Aeris:  Kasumi
	Yuffie:  Ranma-chan(Ranko)  A tomboy on a search to impress her
father, and lead the people of Wutai back to the glory days
	Vincent:  Mousse, infatuated with Lucrecia
	Cid:  No clue...no good matches in the Ranma cast.
	Reeve/Cait Sith:  Genma...
	Red 13:  A male Shampoo?  No...a female Red, with purple fur!
Colgone as her great gramma...yeah!  It's perfect!

	Sephy:  Tarou
	Pres Shinra:  Some guy
	Rufus:  Kunou
	Heidegger:  Princaple Kunou
	Scarlet: Kodachi
	Palmer:  Gosunkugi (with a lot of fat, that is)
