The Question

	Misato sat at her kitchen table and contemplated live, the universe, and her beer, well, that and how she really should learn how to cook. Shinji had been invited over to Toji's house for the night, and Asuka didn't know which end of a pot was which. 

	"Hey Misato?" the recently mentioned Second Child called from where she was slumped on the sofa. Pen Pen was next to her, and together they were sort of watching TV.
  
	"Huh?" Misato replied; boredom oozed out of her very tone.

	"I got a question," Asuka said.

	"Huh?" Misato responded, taking an interest, "What is it, Asuka?"

	Asuka walked into the kitchen to face Misato, "OK, Shinji hates his father right?"

	"Uh-huh," Misato confirmed. 

	"And he has feelings for Wonder Girl right?"

	Misato blinked, "OK, didn't know that, but OK."

	"Well he does," Asuka said.

	"Asuka, just where are you going with this," Misato asked.

	"Well, I was just wondering, as Rei is a clone of Shinji's mom, and Unit-01 is actually Shinji's mom. And as he likes Rei, and Unit-01 is always asking him to join with her, AND he really hates his father and may want to kill him, does that mean that Shinji has some weird Oedipus Complex or something?" Asuka finished.

	Misato blinked, "Uhhh, maybe."

	Asuka nodded, satisfied, "Good."

	"Uh, Asuka?"

	"Yeah, Misato?"

	"What do you mean good, and how do you know all this?"
	
        "Well," Asuka replied with a flip of her hair as she turned to go back into the living room, "Pen Pen and I had a bet going, and as for how I know, he hacked into Ritsuko's files."

	Misato blinked, "I'm never eating whatever it was that I made again."

End.
