There are almost 1000 people on the list. Perhaps one of them knows
the answer to the question I was trying to ask. Perhaps one of them
knows a new address for David. Perhaps David himself, under a new
addy, is reading the list, and could answer it.
I know that the list isn't magical, or anything like that. I know
what it can and can't do. I had plenty of reason to believe that
I could get my question answered by sending it to the list.
Clue. I *don't*. If direct mail doesn't work, NEITHER WILL THE LIST.
