Before I start writing a certain new fic, there's a little detail I'd 
like to get cleared-up first, and I can't seem to find the answer to it. 
  In Sailor Moon, there is a disaster in 1999 that makes it so that 
everyone in the world is forced into some slumber until they reawaken 10 
centuries later when Crystal Tokyo is built. There's two things I'd like 
to know: was this disaster ever explained anywhere? 
  And of course, the more important question: was there ever a specified 
reason why Wiseman was banished to Nemesis, and if so, what was that 
crime?
