Woah! That was something else. I had no idea. Very unique and interesting.
I have to say I liked it a lot.

I have to say that I disagree with you. To me, the premise of the story
seems like nothing more than a cheap way of absolving Ukyo and Shamps of
any responsibility for their actions in the series.

I really find this level of cynicism to be quite disheartening.

Besides which, this accusation doesn't make any sense. The story,
if anything, absolves Ranma of any guilt for his actions in the
series, because it was Genma that was controlling him. Not that
it would make much difference to Ranma, though.

Actually it doesn't. It says that there's no difference between
Ranma and Genma because the Ranma we know is Genma. That makes
Ranma _more_ culpable because the combined entity is responsible
for everything they both did that was wrong.

However, if Genma really was in control of Ranma's actions,
somehow I doubt Ranma would have had nearly so much trouble
getting close to Akane...and very possibly Ukyo, Shampoo,
Kodachi...

There's also something missing from the story. What was
the source of Ranma's unnatural allure? Surely not Genma's
personality...

How it makes any difference to the moral position of Shampoo and
Ukyou, however, I simply can't see.
