I have to say that I disagree with you. To me, the premise of the story
seems like nothing more than a cheap way of absolving Ukyo and Shamps of
any responsibility for their actions in the series.

Also -- while there was some good writing, particularly in the beginning
-- the dialog between U&S in the middle seemed painfully over-extended,
and didn't add much to the story as far as I could tell.
