I Think I, I know I:
A Maison Ikkoku Lemom
By
Dale Ratner
Authors rambles: I wrote this story for three reasons: 1. There is not
enough Maison Ikkoku fanfiction around, 2. Most of the available stuff
seperates Yusaku and Kyoko, 3. I always wanted to write a lemon. This story
takes someplace in the middle of the Intensive Care graphic novel. Stabdard
disclaimers apply. All comments should be sent to Shadow6865@aol.com (I really
want Kun-chan, the magnificent queen of the lemon fic to reply.)
The Story:
It has been one week since Kyoko got Yusakus final schedule messed
up and their relationship has returned to a somewhat normal level. Kyoko still
avoided
talking to Yusaku alot but she at least returned a greeting every know and
then. It wasnt so much that she was mad at Yusaku for the fiasco because that
really was his friend Sakomotos fault. She had been avoiding him because she
wasnt sure about how she felt about him. When she said I can wait another
year. she really ment it and that scared her. After Soichiros death she knew
she would fall in love again but she didnt think it would be so soon after
his death with a much younger man. Well in her heart she knew that two years
wasnt a big difference and that fours years was a bit too long of a mourning
period. She also realized the for every aspect that Yusaku was different from
her dear departed husband, there was something similar about them. Was that
why she was so affraid to talk to Yusaku she thought. Was she affraid of
marrying someone who would was just like Soichiro only to have him die
prematurly as well.
Yusaku walked down the street in his normal half-sulking mood. He had just
lost another oppurtonity at a part-time job and was almost out of money. If he
didnt find a job soon he would have to starve himself so he could pay his
rent and medical bills. Well at least its Kyoko is speaking to me again and
my birthdays soon Godai thought to himself. The thoughts about Kyoko managed
to cheer him up a bit but his thoughts became depressed soon afterwards.
Kyoko he whispered to himself with a slight amount of wistfullness. She made
everything seem so wonderful but getting close to her was hard. Its bad
enough that she is a widow but why did a bunch of drunks, a too rich and too
handsome tennis couch and a girl I really dont want to hurt
have to get in our way Godai thought while cursing his luck under his breath.
Godai thought of himself as an unfortunate romantic. The type of person for
whom always had obstacles preventing him from getting close to the one he
loved but once he did
get close his love would give the greatest rewards.
Good afternoon, Kyoko-san Godai said as he walked up the front steps of
the Ikkoku-kan.
Good afternoon, Yusaku-kun Kyoko said returning the greeting. Godai almost
entered the doors of the Ikkoku-kan when Kyokos voice stoped him. Yusaku-
kun?
Yes, Kyoko-san?
You have a follow up appointment for your leg this Saturday right?
Yes. Why?
But isnt that your birthday? Its kind of sad that you have to spend your
birthday across town at a hospital.
I dont really mind. Sakomoto is throwing me a small party on Sunday and I
really dont like the way the drunks choose to celebrate my birthday.
I see. Would you like me to go with you on Saturday? To keep you company.
Yes, I would like that alot. Godai said with a wide smile as he entered
the Ikkoku-kan struting.
I am going to tell him I love him this time. Kyoko thought to herself as
she watched Yusaku enter the Maison. But how am I going to tell him?
End of Part I
Authors notes: Well what do you think? Part II will be coming out shortly
and there will be sex (I promise. Boyscouts honour.)
