I've noticed, for a long time, that quite a few people have a tendency
to completely screw up when writing dialogue for Shampoo. Not only in
terms of misuse, but often in terms of horrid misspellings. (Example:
the dreaded 'Hi ya!')
While Shampoo is hardly my favorite character, I hate seeing anyone's
dialogue mangled.
And so, it is in the interest of perpetuating correctness that I
provide...
HOW TO SPEAK AMAZON.
Lesson One: Aiyah
Exclamation of extreme surprise, usually negative.
Incorrect usage:
"Aiyah! Shampoo make ramen for Ranma!"
Correct usage:
"AIYAH! Pig-boy trying rape Shampoo!"
Note: This is NOT spelled "Hi ya".
Lesson Two: Wo ai ni
Meaning: "I love you" or "is you I love".
Lesson Three: Airen
Meaning: Husband, beloved
'wo da airen' = 'my beloved husband'
