This chapter is DARK with a capital D and that rhymes with B >and that
stands for BATTLE and that rhymes with... erm...
where was I?
D.B.: Battle.
Oh yeah. Battles. And Darkfic. A bit of a sudden
change after the rather light-hearted tone of prior chapters,
I always intended to have a very serious ending. In spite of the first few
chapters of this series, it was meant to be basically serious with heavy
doses of humor throughout. And considering what the Devils had done up to
this point, there was no way anything dealing with them was going to be
considered light-hearted.
but... gad. What battles. Very nice fight scenes, all of them.
Thank you. Given the wide variety of abilities of the Devils, the scenes
were relatively easy to write.
The adrenalin was pumping all the way to the very end... which >had
overtones of Ninja Gaiden II to it, oddly enough.
Coincidence then. What's Ninja Gaiden II?
Not often that an Evil Villain sacrifices himself for the cause.
His loyalty to his master knew no bounds.
This whole chapter, though, left me with one question... >WHEN ARE YOU
WRITING MORE?

the entire last third of the chapter was nothing but cliffhangers,
worries, things left unfinished,
Yes. It did...didn't it? Several people have accused me of taking pages
from the Krista Perry School of Writing. ^_^
and I WANT the next part.
Yes, well. Good news and bad. First the good. Chapter 37 is basically done.
Just one more prereader to go.
Now the bad. It won't be released until 38 is nearly ready to go. Given the
way 37 ends, it was strongly advised I wait until I have 38 ready to
provide for people that might be...uh, insistant at wanting to know what
happens next. So, unless something comes up, 38 will be released several
days after 37. I'm hacking out several tough paragraphs with a couple of
others, trying to get it just right. It'll probably be another week, at
least. Sorry.
18 and up out of 20 yet again. The end is in sight, at least of >this arc.
Thanks again, but I'm crossing my fingers and hoping I can snag at least
one 20 before this thing is over.
