        Sorry about the spam, but I'm afraid it was necessary. 

        I need feedback on the following idea:



        Ranma is going to college (hang on, it gets better), and things
aren't going as good as he hoped. His grades are actually decent (imagine
that), but it's money that is vexing him. He needs to get enough to pay the
next semester's tuition, but he has no idea how to do it.

        He can't go to Nabiki for help, nor can he find a job that would
allow him to raise the money on time. In fact, he has nowhere to turn for
help (would YOU ask Kodachi for a loan?) It gets worse from here:

        The only way he can inherit the dojo is to marry Akane AND finish
college (Genma and Soun decided on the college thing....I'll figure out how
later), but not necessarily in that order. If he can't complete both tasks,
he's out on his ass.

        So, not knowing what to do, he meets up with a crowd he would do
better to steer clear of. He doesn't know this, of course, so he goes along
with them, and they show him a means to earn the money he needs in no time
flat by doing what he loves the most...martial arts.

        In other words, Ranma gets drawn into the world of a prize fighter.
And he finds out that the Yakuza aren't too keen on letting people go...

Please, I would appreciate any feedback you'd care to send. I'm hoping for a
'fic with gritty, dark realism, and i oculd use all the help I can get.
