Spoor
By Oscar Peredor

Ranma 1/2 copyright Takahashi Rumiko-sama and whomever she licensed it to.

Author's Notes:
Yes, my last fic was a parody.

I've lost to Ranma again, in my quest to attain the lovely Akane and the luscious pigtailed girl. My battered body lies in pain, on the ground in Furinkan. I should hate him, but I cannot. He is, after all, my executioner.

A reminder that I am nothing more than base filth. I am a man who lusts after two women. I am nothing more than spoor, the remnants of a dog that has voided itself. What kind of human is that? Sure, I spout phrases and poetry before others, the butt of their jokes, but it is nothing more than the punishment I deserve for being what I am.

Could I change? I do not know. My family is of base filth, though we hide behind a façade of wealth. We are nothing more than lowly born peasants, mere gutter slime. But I cannot tell the world the truth, for they will not acknowledge it. They cannot acknowledge that some things are not meant to change. So instead I give them an image that shows the world that I am weak, but open to change.

Sometimes the lies are more real than the truth.

I sit there, in my heart, knowing full well that both Akane and the pigtailed girl hate me. But they are the strongest, the most capable of dealing with me. I could chase after other girls, but I am not worthy of them. While I am no more worthy of Akane and the pigtailed girl, at least I know that they can defeat me if required.

I am spoor, not Kuno Tatewaki. I am the Samurai of Spoor. That is who and what I really am. I am the true heir of Happosai, the heir to his personality, though not his art.

And I will remain as damned as soul as none has ever been before.

Author's Notes again:
See? I can write.
