I'd just like to adress another aspect of this
little discussion that's been missed...

The problem, lately, has been two-fold

a) Attachments.  Not all mail servers can handle them.
   I, personally, don't have a big problem with them,
   but then again, mine can handle it.

b) Formatting.  I saw the files that were sent as
   attachments, and they opened up as ugly
   garbled text.

   Learn these two steps:

   - SAVE AS -

   then when the window pops up, be sure to save your work
   as...

   - TEXT ONLY WITH LINE BREAKS -

  Nothing too hard about it.  At the very least, you'll get
  more of an audience than chucking it off as Micro$oft Word
  format.
