One thing, though. Many mail progs limit the size of a text message.
If your fic is longer than that, and you don't want to break it up, the
best you can do is an attachment. When put in this situation, I
usually
post it as an attachment with a note that if you want it in plain text,
e-mail me and I'll break it into parts for you. Less spam for the list
that way, too.
So far, I've used Eudora to post fanfics which are freakin' huge (umm,
would that be ALL of them?). As of yet, that is the only decent mail
program available to me that doesn't have a file size limit (of course,
availability might be in question, but I've gotten the lite version for
free)-- programs like Netscape like to cut off big text....
