Or, if you're using WordPerfect, put in in Courier New 11, then Save As
"ASCII DOS Text".  Comes out rather nicely that way.  Or, even prettier,
just "cut" the Courier New 11 text out of WP, and "paste" it in the
message.  Less work.

One thing, though.  Many mail progs limit the size of a text message. 
If your fic is longer than that, and you don't want to break it up, the
best you can do is an attachment.  When put in this situation, I usually
post it as an attachment with a note that if you want it in plain text,
e-mail me and I'll break it into parts for you.  Less spam for the list
that way, too.
 

  Nothing too hard about it.  At the very least, you'll get
  more of an audience than chucking it off as Micro$oft Word
  format.
