How to put it.  

Everyone's right, and everyone's wrong.  

My problem with the work concerned plausibility.  Ranma not only knows how
to fight, he knows how to run from one as well.  Ranma probably would have
made a beeline for the water, then waited it out there until things cooled
down.  Most people would not have noticed a girl in a familiar-looking
suit; they only would have noticed anything about them once the instigator
started yelling.

Preachy?  Probably.  It could have been done more subtly.  Of course, I've
had dinners ruined by the likes of the instigator, so I'm a lot more
forgiving on the preachy side.  

Beyond that, it was a beautiful piece of storytelling.  Good job.  Sorry
if I'm not more coherent right now.
