Hey, what can I say, I got my hands on Metal Gear Solid and simply love it!

Ranma slowly surfaced from the murky depths, only his head peeking out. A
moment later, he dragged his entire, tired body up out of the freezing Alaskan
waters and onto a small platform. Although exhausted from that one miles swim
from where he had disposed of his SDV, Ranma knew it was not the time to rest.
He had a job to do.
He quickly took off his scuba fins. He would take off the rest of his gear
later, when he had the time. He didn't even bother to take off his goggles or
anything else.
"This scuba gear sucks," he muttered quietly under his breath. "I can hardly
move,"
The codec went off. Since it was a small device that stimulated the bones of
his ears, only he was able to hear the incoming message.
"Yeah, whatd'ya want?" Ranma asked, exasperated. He didn't even know how
Colonel Campbel, the man on the other end of the line, was able to hear him. He
didn't want to know.
"Ranma, there should be a elevator just north of your position," the voice
said.
"All right," Ranma said, already crawling under the tiny water tank that he
had used for cover. He had been on a small ledge and the only way past that
ledge was to crawl under the water tank to the other side.
Getting up to his feet, Ranma surveyed his surroundings.
It looked like he was in some kind of underground storage area. There were
several massive metallic crates just off in front of him and to his right.
Straight in front of his was a pathway that led to the back of the storage area
where there would be an elevator. At least that was what Campbell had told him.
To his left, there was a dark corner where he could hide in the shadows while he
figured out what to do.
Ranma rushed forward and slightly off to his left where he pressed his back
against the wall. He had caught a small glimpse of an armed guard patrolling
nearby and didn't want to be seen, not this early. The guard was walking down
the pathway Ranma had been peering down a second ago. He was clad in a heavy
white winter attire that made him easy to spot, especially in constrast to the
dark metallic crates and dull, dark walks.
Ranma could hear the guard's footsteps echoing as he seemed to be getting
closer and closer. He knew that at any moment, the guard would round the corner
where he would spot the tresspasser. However, Ranma was ready for action, ready
to incapcitate the guard without even needing to think.
As Ranma waited patiently, the footsteps seemed to stop.
A moment later, he actually heard the guard yawning.
Knowing that it was as good a chance as any, since yawning would make a person
involuntarily close their eyes, Ranma quickly darted out from his corner toward
the guard, his assumption correct.
The moment the guard finished his yawning, Ranma's fist shot out with deadly
accuracy, striking the guard in his face with bone breaking force.
The guard fell back, unconsious. However he did not hit the ground with a
thump for Ranma reached a hand out and grabbed the front of the guard's jacket,
easing him to the ground slowly, silently, where Ranma proceeded to drag the
unconsious form back toward the shadowy corner where he had emerged from.
Ranma had to act fast. Sooner or later, there would be another gaurd walking
by. He had heard more than one pair of footsteps.
Resting the guard on the ground in the corner, he position the unconsious
person so that he looked like he was taking a nap. If another guard saw this,
they might actually think their brethren had fallen asleep from the boredon of
their patrolling.
Satisfied with the first guard out of the way, Ranma rushed off toward the
right where he pressed his back up against one of the many metallic crates.
Right in front of him, there was a puddle of water. He slowly walked past it,
careful not to distrub the surface because the noise would give way his
position. He wanted to get into prime striking position before giving away his
position.
He edged up to the edge of the metallic crate, taking a quick peek around the
corner. He had spotted the second guard as his back was toward him. The guard
was looking straight ahead, where there was an elevator about fifty meters in
front of him. He seemed to be standing in the middle of a junction between the
metallic crates.
Ranma waited, wondering which way the guard was going to go. The guard had
four paths to chose from, straight ahead toward the elevator, to the left, to
the right, or backwards...where Ranma was waiting to strike.
Getting an idea, Ranma tapped the metalic crate that his back was pressed
against. The sound of his knuckles hitting the metal echoed throughout the
entire storage area.
The guard definitely heard the noise for her turned around.
Ranma smirked as he heard the guard saying something.
"That you?" the guard asked. It was obvious the guard was attempting to
communicator verbally to the other guard, the guard Ranma had incapacitated.
Ranma knocked on the metal surface again, but this time, a bit harder. He
seemed to hold his breath as he heard the footsteps coming closer and closer,
the steps cautious and slow.
Just as he saw the tip of the machine gun point out from the corner, Ranma
knew the guard was close enough, as he leaped out of the corner and punched the
guard right in his face with extreme force. The guard's head cocked back from
the impact before his body wents stiff as he fell backwards, his fall cushioned
by Ranma's holding of his front jacket.
With the second guard incapacitated, Ranma quickly dragged him back around the
corner from where he had emerged. He didn't want another guard to pop out of the
elevator and catching sight of someone lying unconsious on the floor.
Letting the guard slump against the metal crate, half his body now being
soaked in the water Ranma had passed a second ago, Ranma slowly, cautiously made
his way forward, toward the elevator in front of him.
As he reached the elevator, he quickly peered up the open shaft, realizing
that there was no elevator. Either that or the elevator was several stories
above and needed to be let down.
A few minutes passed as Ranma did a quick sweep of the area, satisfied that
there were no more guards. Heck, he had even managed to find a ration pack
seemingly dropped behind a water tank on the otherside, the eastern side, of the
storage area.
As Ranma walked up to the elevator, the alarms sounded, causing Ranma to
quickly react and rush off and hide behind a forklift located just off to the
left of the elevator. It took him a moment to realize that the alarm wasn't
something he had tripped but rather a warning to let others know that the
elevator was descending.
When the alarms stopped, Ranma cautiously peeked around the forklift and
toward the elevator. There, he spotted another guard stepping out. The guard
stopped directly in front of the elevator, peering around at his surrounding
area.
Ranma, impatient, tapped the forklift, the soud echoing throughout the storage
area. It seemed to catch the guard's attention for he turned toward Ranma's
direction and headed toward there.
As he heard the guard 's footsteps near the front of the forklift, Ranma ran
around the back of the forklift and around the side where he grabbed the
unsuspecting guard from his back, wrapping an arm around the guard's neck and
quickly tightening his hold. The guard let out a desperate yelp as he struggled
to free himself from Ranma's hold, dropping his gun in his fit of panic as he
tried to use both hands to break free, much to no avail. Within moment, due to
lack of blood and oxygen, the guard passed out in Ranma's arms, his body
becoming limp.
Letting the guard slowly to the ground, Ranma looked around, hoping no one had
heard the muffled cries the guard had made. No one had heard.
Smirking to himself, Ranma said to the guard, "You're lucky I don't kill
people,"
He then looked over toward the elevator where it was empty. Knowing that it
was his only way up to the surface from this underground storage area, Ranma
entered the elevator where it seemed to ascend automatically.
As the elevator ascended, Ranma peered one last time through the front opening
and at the storage area as it disappeared when the ceiling passed down over the
front of the elevator.
Figuring now was the best time to get rid of the rest of his scuba gear, Ranma
took them off one at a time. He first took of his goggles. Then his waterproof
ski-mask like head cover. And the finally, his actual scuba suit.
Ranma looked upward where he could see the top of the elevator shaft. All he
could see were stars. He could see snow flurries as it drifted down the shaft,
some of the flakes touching his sneak suit, which was a skin-tight suit that
prevented hypothermia from the extreme Alaskan cold.
As the elevator got closer and closer to the surface, Ranma could feel his
heart racing because he didnt know what to expect. There could be guard
everywhere or perhaps no guards at all. This mission was going to be tough to
accomplish, very tough. The odds were against him, extremely against him. The
only way he would be able to succeed is to keep to the shadows and rely on
stealth.
Upon reaching the top of the elevator shaft, the elevator came to a sudden
stop, almost causing Ranma to lose his balance. He took a moment to look around
and survey his surroundings. It only took him a second to realize he was
somewhere outside the base, that it was snowing pretty heavily, and that there
was an metal crate just in front and slightly off to the right of the elevator.
He quickly ran forward where he pressed his back up against the cold surface.
He took a moment to calm down before he dared to peer around the corner of the
crate. Upon inspection, he caught sight of a slightly raised landing pad about
fifty meters in front of the crate. There were two guards on the landing pad.
That wasn't what caught Ranma's attention though. It was what the guards were
standing in front of that caught his attention.
On the landing pad, there was a massive Hind-D gunship. That type of chopper
was perhaps one of most deadliest helicopters ever created.
Ranma smiled to himself.
This was going to be fun.
I wrote this on the fly. Sorry for any grammar or spelling mistakes. No need to
correct me. I know I have a buncha mistakes.....
Iimagine.....Ranma vs Ninja :)
I've been thinking of perhaps having Ukyo play Meryl, but it seems more
appropriate to have Meryl play herself, ne :)
