My thought would be that Ranma be in his powered-down girl form (as

most series), then utter the power-up phrase by chance. The phrase

to be something that Ranma would find at least slightly embarrassing. 

How about 'I love you Happosai'?  Seriously how about 'water change
make-up'?

power up for the first time without witneses present. 

Simple, Kodachi and/or Shampoo drugs him with a love potion and the
first person he sees (he's looking down at the time) is our favorite
twenty-four inch pervert martial artist.

Ranma was leaving again on another trip to find a cure.  Cologne was
surprisingly forthcoming with the location of the 'spring of the
drowned boy' once he had confronted her about it.  This made Ranma a
little bit suspicious, of course, but he had to take a shot at a cure,
no matter how slim a chance it was.

After walking about twenty miles, he took a short break and started to
look through the bag Kasumi had been kind enough to pack for him.

*rustle*, *rustle*, bottle. Ranma opened the bottle and accidently
spilled a little bit of the contents on himself, "Water," she muttered
to herself as she closed the bottle and returned it to her pack.  

*rustle*, *rustle*, pouch.  Ranma opened the pouch and withdrew a
couple of coins.  "Change," she grinned as she dropped it back in the
pack.  Maybe the Amazon Village had gotten a Tekken 3 machine.

*rustle*, *rustle*, *blink*, *blink*, "Make-up?"

"Why am I wearing a fuku?"

On the other hand, 

Ranma could find out about his superheroine powers and power-up

phrase 

from the Guide.
Anyway, I really need to get a name for Ranma's superheroine

identity. 

Any ideas?
