        "Did you ever think it would turn out this way?" His intense 

eyes burned into 

hers.

        It only took her a moment to respond.  "Yes."

        He looked surprised.  "You did?"

        "Well�" She blushed slightly.  "More like wished.  I had 

dreams, you know," she 

added.  "I suppose�I knew the moment I first met you�."

        "You too?" he murmured, drawing her closer.

        She nodded.  "Just a young boy�but I could see the man 

inside."

        "Five years�it's been a long time�"

        "Doesn't feel like it," she whispered, as she reached up to 

caress his face.  

He leaned down and kissed her forehead.  "And now�"

"�and now, I'm your wife," she finished.  The smile on her face 

turned 

mischievous.  "Well, since this is our honeymoon, shouldn't we be 

getting to bed?"

        "Too true," he agreed, picking her up and carrying her to the 

bed.  As he set her 

down, she pulled him on top of her and wrapped her arms around his 

neck.  The kissing 

began immediately thereafter, and clothes came off.

        The next three hours were spent making love, with great 

tenderness and passion.

        In the afterglow, as the husband held his wife close to him, 

she murmured, "I love 

you, Shinji."

        Ikari Shinji brought his lips down to his wife's ear and 

whispered, "I love you too, 

Hikari."

        Has anyone else noticed that, if Shinji married Hikari, her 

name would be "Hikari 

Ikari?"  isn't that cool? Isn't it�oh, never mind. Jaa ne!
