I should hope that you're embarassed! Tai ch'i is NOT an abbreviation of 
tai ch'i ch'uan....

You wrote more, but just about everything you say runs counter to my
research and experience.  I stand by my statements.  To be charitable,
I will suggest that, as you have your apostrophes in the incorrect places,
you are talking about something else altogether.
