Chapter 7

	Usagi and Setsuna entered the throne room of Rune Venus.  Their 
friends were waiting for them, looking slightly nervous.  The three 
priestesses of Mt.  Muldoon, Nanami, and Mizuhara were looking 
perplexed.   Mr.  Fujisawa was nodding off in a corner, he looked like 
he was trying to stay awake but not having much luck at it.   Rune Venus 
watched as the two friends entered into the throne room.  She was 
thankful that her sister and Aielle were somewhat preoccupied
elsewhere.  
Rune was about ready to speak, when Setsuna held up her hand and started 
talking. 

	"I think I know the question you are about to ask," Setsuna said, 
"The answer is yes, I am. "

	The other Sailor Senshi got slightly worried expressions while 
Rune's friends' became even more confused.   Rune looked at the person 
who had just spoken and then at the blonde girl next to her.  At her 
glance, Setsuna and Usagi nodded confirming her suspicions.  She then 
addressed Usagi. 

	"I take it this is the reason, you came to El-Hazard?" Rune asked

	Usagi nodded and said, "Yes, it is.  She deserves her freedom. "

	Mizuhara got an inkling of what they were talking about and 
studied Setsuna closely.  He saw the same grace that Ifurita had, and 
other than superficial differences had the same features as his love.  
Shayla Shayla was getting a little upset as a lot of the conversation 
was going on silently.  The Senshi moved next to their friends.  Except 
for Mr.  Fujisawa, everyone else was getting more perplexed by the 
second.  Mr. Fujisawa had lost his battle with sleep and was now in 
slumber land.  Princess Rune looked at the green-haired woman solemnly 
and spoke. 

	"That disturbance was Jinnai, wasn't it? He was coming after you, 
wasn't he?" Rune asked

	Setsuna simply nodded answering Rune's question

	Shayla Shayla, pushed passed her exasperation point, loudly said, 
"Will someone please tell me, just what is going on here? "

	Setsuna looked at the hot-tempered priestess and calmly said, 
"What is going on here, Priestess Shayla is that I'm a Demon-god built 
here in El-Hazard.  My friends came here to try and find a way to free 
me from being enslaved to Usagi here.  As a matter of fact, Usagi is the 
one who is the most vocal on freeing me.  What happened in the room I 
was allowed the use of was a person by the name of Katsuhiko Jinnai 
snuck into my room and tried to take possession of me by winding me up.  
I was able to repel him but he took my key staff with him.  Does that 
answer your question?"

	Shayla Shayla looked at Setsuna blankly as the information slowly 
seeped in.  The Senshi prepared themselves for a battle.  Looking 
shocked, the others were staring first at Setsuna and then at Usagi.  
Shayla Shayla then exploded in rage. 

	"This is just great.  We lose one Demon-god and gain another.  
Well at least this one shouldn't be as powerful as Ifurita was," Shayla 
said while throwing her hands up in exasperation. 

	Usagi blinked in confusion and then asked, "You know Setsuna's 
sister?"

	On that question, the non-Senshi who were awake chorused, 
"SISTER?!?!?!?"

	Waking up with a start, Mr. Fujisawa looked around and saw the 
shocked looks on the faces of his comrades.  The shock of that 
information was to much for Shayla; her eyes slowly rolled back into her 
head and she then collapsed.  Afura Mann and Miz Mishtal quickly caught 
her before she hit the floor.  They carefully laid her down and stood
and 
looked at Setsuna.  Setsuna looked at the people who had just  yelled
and 
spoke. 

 	"By your reactions, I see you have met my sister," Setsuna said, 
"How is she and where can I find her? I would like to speak with her. "

	Mizuhara looked up sadly, "She isn't here; she's on my Earth.  She 
might be dying.  I. . . I'm trying to get back there so I can be re-
united with her.   All I have left of her is her power key staff.  I was 
hoping. . "

	Seeing the despair in his eyes, Setsuna continued for him, "You 
were hoping that our arrival would  give you a clue on how to return to 
your world.  Could you please tell me what happened to her? I was 
removed from this world before I was activated, so I have very few 
memories of her. "

	After a questioning glance at Rune Venus, who gave a nod; Makoto 
relayed the story of how Makoto and the others got involved with 
Ifurita.  Setsuna got a hard look when she heard that that insane person 
who tried to control her at one time was in control of her sister.  The 
other Senshi listened with great interest and at times had to hide their 
disgust at what had happened to Ifurita and the antics of the Phantom 
Tribe.  After Mizuhara was finished Setsuna nodded her thanks and then 
spoke. 

	"Makoto-kun, thank you for freeing my sister," Setsuna said, 
"Since it is apparent that you love her and she you, I would like to 
help you get rejoin her. "

	Mizuhara looked up in hope and said, "You would? How? I've been 
trying to figure out the Eye of God for the past month and have had 
little luck. "

	Giving her friends a reassuring nod, Setsuna replied, "The person 
who built Ifurita and me, also built the Eye of God.  Her name was 
Selene;  she apparently decided to use me as her journal and logbook.  
Inside my mind I have the plans for the Eye of God.   I would like to 
see my sister and talk with her. . '

	Ignoring the shocked look on his friends' faces, Mizuhara said, 
"You do? I can see Ifurita again? Please, tell me how the Eye works so I 
can go to her.  I swore I would be rejoined with her. "

	*He's even more love struck than Usagi is with Mamoru*, Setsuna 
thought to herself and then said, "Give me a second. "

	Setsuna closed her eyes and called up the file that held the Eye 
of God's plans.  On trying to open it she found she was unable to and 
the metallic tinged voice rang out inside her mind. 

	+Access denied.  Improper voice frequency+, the metallic voice said

	Setsuna was baffled for a second; she then got an idea and tried 
to open other files.  As with the first she found that it required a 
certain voiceprint to access the files or they were under time-lock.  
She thought about how her creator might have protected the files and 
realized the only person who could release the voice activated files was 
Usagi.  She opened her eyes and looked at the people watching her. 

	Smiling wryly, Setsuna said, "It seems that there is a bit of a 
problem.  Usagi you're going to have to order me to access the files.  
Those files require a voice print and a command from my master to open.  
Somehow, Selene has set the voiceprint to match your voice. "

	Before Usagi could say anything, Rune said, "I would like to know 
what you will want in payment for giving Makoto this information. "

	Usagi tried to say something, but was interrupted again. 
	
	"Two things," Ami said, "First, help us get Setsuna's staff back 
and then help us free her from that control circuit. "

	Usagi tired of getting interrupted looked out the window and 
watched as a silver butterfly flew in and out the window. 

	Mizuhara nodded and said, "If that is all.  It's more than worth 
it.  I can free your friend now, if you wish. "

	Usagi looked around to make sure no one was going to interrupt 
her.  Seeing that everyone was watching her for what her decision would 
be.   She just nodded giving her answer.  Mizuhara walked up to Setsuna 
and put his fingers on her forehead.  He then summoned his talent for 
interfacing with El-Hazardian technology.  The glow that appeared 
whenever he used his power appeared and both he and Setsuna went into a 
trance.  Suddenly, the glow pulsed erratically and a small explosion 
occurred.  Both Setsuna and Mizuhara were propelled away from the blast 
and hit the walls.  After the explosion, the Senshi rushed to Setsuna as 
the others rushed to Mizuhara; everyone breathed a sigh of relief when 
it was revealed that the explosion simply shook them up and no serious 
injuries were forthcoming.   Ami was the first to break the silence that 
had followed the blast. 

	Ami said, "What just happened?"

	Mizuhara replied, "When I tried to interface with your friend, I 
started encountering areas I was unable to affect.  I tried to figure 
out what was going on by using my ability on one the areas.  After I did 
that, the next thing I know is that I'm flying backwards into a wall. "

	"I see. ?" Ami said, "Makoto could you please get a piece of pure 
El-Hazard technology. "

	Slightly confused, Makoto went to Stalumbau's lab and came back 
with an old El-Hazard LD player.  Ami nodded and pulled her super 
computer out of nowhere.   The non-Senshi stared in shock when she did 
that.  Ami then began speaking. 

	"Makoto, please use your power on that device," Ami said and 
thought to herself, *It would be easier with my visor as well but my 
computer does have some scanning abilities. *

	Slightly dazed by the sudden appearance of  the computer, he did 
as he was asked.  The glow surrounded him and the player.  Ami analyzed 
the readings that she was getting and then turned to Setsuna, who had an 
idea of what was going on, and analyzed her.  After she got her 
readings, she then started making calculations.  The others were 
watching her with great interest.  She finally sighed sadly and closed 
the computer.  She looked at Setsuna, who nodded, and the Usagi. 

	Ami said, "It seems that the magical improvements Selene made to 
Setsuna reacted violently with Makoto-kun's power. "

	"She's more powerful than Ifurita?" Rune said as the others 
gasped

	Setsuna shook her head and replied, "Not more powerful, just 
things like a longer running spring and a low energy mode.  Mostly minor 
improvements nothing earth-shattering" and then thought, *Except for my 
starseed, of course. *

	The others breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing that.  Setsuna 
started to walk towards Usagi when she stumbled slightly.  Usagi quickly 
ran to her and caught her before she fell.  Usagi, with a worried 
expression looked at Setsuna. 

	"Are you all right Setsuna?" Usagi asked

	"I think that the blast took more out of me than I thought," 
Setsuna replied. 

	Usagi said, "We need to get you rewound as soon as possible. "

	Looking at what was going on, Mizuhara quickly left the room and 
came back holding a large staff, with an ax shaped head and had two 
globes pierced through the center.  Makoto sighed heavily and tapped 
Usagi on the shoulder. 

	"Maybe this will help," Mizuhara said, "It is Ifurita's Power 
Key Staff.  Since they are sisters it might work to wind your friend up.
"

	Gratefully looking at Makoto, Usagi took the staff and tried to 
insert it into Setsuna's key port.  The staff failed to go in.  Pulling 
it away from Setsuna, Usagi stared at the end of the staff.  Usagi's 
shoulders slumped; on the end of the staff were three prongs, compared 
to Setsuna's which had a ball on the end.  She handed the staff back to 
Makoto and was wracked by silent sobs.  Setsuna put a hand on her 
shoulder to comfort her. 

	"Usagi-chan, thank you for caring, but don't worry as long as I 
don't use any power I can go for a long time," Setsuna said. 

	Haruka then spoke up, "And how long before that madman finds out 
and attacks forcing you to use power, Setsuna?"

	Makoto said, "Haruka's right.  we're going to have to get 
Setsuna's staff back from him or . . "

	Londs shook his head not believing how caring these girls were for 
a machine.  Shayla Shayla finally started regaining consciousness.  
Princess Rune gave Londs a knowing glance and then spoke up. 

	"Ladies, since it is our fault for not protecting your friend 
better, I would like to offer some help.  Makoto, I know you want to be 
rejoined with her but it will have to wait a bit.  Shayla, I would like 
you and the other priestesses to go with them as they try to get that 
staff back from Jinnai.  Mr.  Fujisawa I would like for you to accompany 
them on their trip. "

	The people who Rune addressed all nodded their acceptance.  Shayla 
Shayla, despite having to help a Demon-god, looked forward to fighting 
some Bugrom.  The Senshi gave their thanks and started to head to their 
room when Rune's voice stopped them. 

	"For your own protection, I think it would be better if you spent 
the night in the dungeon," Rune said, "We're not going to lock you in; 
we just want to make sure that Jinnai can not get a hold of your 
friend. "

	Usagi just simply nodded the worries of the past hour having 
wearied her.  The other Senshi saw the wisdom in the suggestion and went 
along with it.   The guards escorted them to the dungeon where all the 
Senshi, save Setsuna went into separate cells.  Setsuna, knowing how her 
friend thought, went into the same cell with Usagi.  Usagi knowing that 
Setsuna was there to give her piece of mind, nodded gratefully to 
Setsuna.  Usagi was then fast asleep.  Setsuna sat down with her back 
against a wall, and looked at the person who she was bonded to.  She 
smiled softly and wondered what would happen come the dawn. 

			Chapter 8

	Waking up, Usagi looked around for Setsuna and saw that she hadn't 
moved from the position that she was in last night.  Setsuna noticing 
that Usagi was awake, nodded to her and started to speak.

	"Good morning, Usagi.  I hope you had pleasant dreams," Setsuna 
said

	"Setsuna, did you go to sleep last night?' asked a concerned Usagi

	"No, but then I really don't need to."
 	
	Usagi got up out of bed and headed for the door.  Setsuna stood up 
and started to move forward when she stumbled slightly.  Usagi quickly 
reached out and caught her before she fell to the ground.  Setsuna 
managed to get balance back and stood shakily and gave her friend a warm 
smile.

	"Setsuna, what's wrong?"

	"Sorry, Usagi.  It has been a long time since I had to work at 
this low a level of winding.  I feel slow," Setsuna answered softly, 
"I'm going to have to get used to this once more."

	"What do you mean by that?"

	Sighing softly, Setsuna softly explained, "Usagi, a Demon-god is 
only capable of staying wound for a maximum of ten years.  That is with 
low level use of power.  I can last twenty years at minimal power after 
a full wind-up.  Selene plugged some sort of energy crystal into my key 
port that kept me charged up until the time came to turn myself over to 
you."

	"Why?  Why me?"

	"I wasn't given that information..  It had something to do with 
Sehkmet."

	Startled, Usagi blurted out, "Who's Sehkmet?"

	Shuddering slightly, Setsuna explained, "Sehkmet was an Atlanteean 
warrior-mage.  She was pretty much unstoppable after she absorbed 
Hathor's magic.  Hathor was her sister.  She destroyed Atlantis and the 
refugees from the island kingdom were the founders of the Moon Kingdom.  
Somehow, I'm not sure how, Selene managed to defeat Sehkmet, but was 
unable to kill her.  She managed to rip Sehkmet asunder and scatter the 
bits of her across the galaxy."

	Usagi notice Setsuna's slight shiver of fear and wondered how much 
worse could Sehkmet have been.  Resolving to find out more about Sehkmet 
and Selene later, Usagi  went to knock on the door when Setsun'a voice 
stopped her.

	"Usagi-chan, what's wrong?  You've been somewhat of an emotional 
basket case ever since you found out about what I am.  I know part of it 
is because of that, but not all."

	Usagi looked at her friend and decide to tell her what has been 
bothering her, "I'm tired, Setsuna.  I've been ruling Crystal Tokyo for 
several centuries now.  My daughter has finally grown up and I'm 
starting to feel the pressure of running the kingdom for so long.  I 
would love to go to a movie and just hang out with my friends like I 
used to, before I  became Neo-Queen Serenity."

	Usagi sat back down and steepled her fingers , "Serenity was 
raised as a princess and knew that she would be trapped by her job, but 
Usagi was raised as an ordinary child who had friends and could walk 
around in public without being mobbed.  The day in and day out routine 
has just been wearing on me; I'm even starting to loose sleep because of 
it.  After this little adventure, Mamoru and I are hoping to step down 
and try to go back to a simpler way of life."

	Setsuna put a hand on Usagi's shoulder and squeezed it in a 
reassuring manner, and said, "So that's what's been bothering you?  
Being queen?"

	"Yes.  I'm not a machine," Usagi replied and realizing what she 
had just said, turned her eyes on Setsuna and stammered out, "I'm sorry 
I didn't mean..."

	Setsuna calmly shook her head and said, "That's all right, Usagi.  
You needed to get what was bothering you out of your system and I'm not 
offended by your remark."

	Usagi got back up and then started knocking on the cell door.  
While knocking she came to a decision about her mechanical friend.

	*I really don't want to do this but I want to keep her safe,* 
Usagi thought and then whispered to Setsuna, "I'm sorry Setsuna that I 
have to do this, but I order you to stay near me at all times."

	Smiling to herself, Setsuna knew what Usagi was doing and felt 
warmed by her concern.  She gave a nod to Usagi letting her know that it 
was all right and she would obey the command.

	*You really hate having this much control over me don't you Usagi-
chan?*  Setsuna thought to herself, *All I know is it is necessary for 
me to be like this for right now, but I don't think you would 
understand.  I'm not sure I do either.*


	The door to the cell opened up and the guards let the two girls 
out.  Looking very nervous, the two guards watched the green haired 
Senshi very carefully.  Knowing that the reason the guards were nervous 
was because she was a Demon-god, Setsuna sighed sadly.  Usagi hearing 
her looked back and gave her a encouraging smile.  Setsuna's clockwork 
heart was lifted by the fact that, to Usagi and probably the other 
Senshi, her mechanical nature was unimportant.  The other three girls 
joined up with them and together they headed into the throne room to 
plan for the expedition to get Setsuna's key back.

	Princess Rune Venus watched as the five girls entered into her 
throne room.  She felt somewhat uncomfortable about having a Demon-god
in 
the palace.  Looking over at Mizuhara, she noticed that he was watching 
Ifurita's sister closely.  Nanami kept looking at Usagi trying to 
remember where she saw her before and looked down at a manga that she 
had kept with her from when she was first transported from her home.  
Nanami's eyes got real big and her eyes darted up and looked at Usagi in 
shock.

	"Oh, my god!  It can't be!" Nanami blurted out

	Everyone looked at Nanami wondering what she was talking about.  
Setsuna noticing the small book that Nanami had with her, just smiled.  
Princess Rune looked back and forth between Usagi and Nanami trying to 
figure out what Nanami had seen.

	"Hey, Nanami don't keep us in the dark," Shayla Shayla said, "Tell us 
what you are talking about."

	Nanami started stuttering out, while staring at Usagi, 
"Usa...Usagi..  It can't be her.  You...your...Sail...Sailor M...Moon.  
You are Sailor Moon," Nanami's eyes darted from one Senshi to the next, 
"That's J..J...Jupiter.  She's Mercury.  Sail..Sailor Uranus.  That 
would mean Ifurita's sister is...is...  OH, MY GOD!  NO!!! Sailor 
Pluto."

	After stammering out that last bit Nanami 's eyes rolled back into 
her head and she slumped to the ground.  Both Mizuhara and Mr. Fujisawa 
looked at the Senshi, now recognizing them, and swallowed hard.

	"Well, that's it for me.  I need a drink.  Characters from an 
anime coming to life is either a sign I've had to much or I'm suffering 
from the DT's;  and since I'm sober, it must be the DT's," Mr. Fujisawa 
said.

	Mizuhara said, "I see them too, Sensei.  Well at least we now know 
why they look so familiar. I also have to agree with Nanami on the fact 
that Sailor Pluto is a Demon-god." 

	Shayla Shayla was getting annoyed and tersely asked, "Will someone 
please explain what is going on here?"

	Mizuhara took a deep shuddering breath and slow replied, "Those 
five girls are from a fictional story from our reality."

	"Fictional?"  asked Rune in a confused voice.

	"You see, princess it's like this," Mr. Fujisawa started explaining, 
realizing the problem, "A fictional story is make believe.  We tell
these 
stories that are not based in fact to educate or entertain.  They are
not 
supposed to be real."

	Setsuna laid a hand on Usagi's shoulder and whispered, "They know.  
Don't worry about this;  everything will turn out all right,
Usagi-chan."

	Usagi nodded to the other girls to reassure them as well.  Ami, 
curious, walked over to where Nanami had fainted and picked up the
fallen 
manga.  Looking inside it, she felt a little disturbed at seeing the
final 
battle with Queen Beryl depicted.  She frowned somewhat, because her 
memories did not match up with what was shown.  The other Senshi watched
her 
expectantly.  Suddenly she snapped her fingers and turned towards her 
friends.

	Ami said, "This manga depicts an alternate universe where events 
turned out differently.  It's kind of bizarre seeing a version of
yourself 
in a manga."

	Startled, Mizuhara said, "Your from the anime universe then?"

	*Please tell me I didn't hear that,* Makoto said and then asked, 
"Anime?"

	"Yes.  There was an anime based on the manga," Mizuhara explained, 
"It ran for two-hundred episodes and had three movies.  It detailed your 
lives in dealing with various threats."

	Ami asked, "Who was Chibi-chibi?"

	Mizuhara replied, "In the manga, it was Sailor Cosmos, a future 
version of Sailor Moon.  In the anime, it was Galaxia's star seed."

	The Sailor Senshi just looked at one another.  A sudden gasp, coming 
from Nanami, focused all the attention on her.  Waking up, Nanami looked
at 
Usagi very intently, making Usagi a little bit nervous.  Nanmi got up
and 
bowed to Usagi.

	"Hello, Sailor Moon or should I say Neo-Queen Serenity?"  Nanami said, 
"There is only one queen of Earth mentioned in the manga or anime, and
that 
is Neo-Queen Serenity.  That queen is you Sailor Moon."

	Usagi, feeling a bit trapped, said, "I'm not your queen.  I came here 
to help my friend.  Please don't bow to me.  I was kind of enjoying
being a 
somewhat normal person again."

	Taking a close look at the odango headed girl, Rune Venus  knew what 
she was talking about.  She too felt that the duties of ruling a country 
were to much at times.    Rune fought down a bit of jealousy for Usagi. 
The 
jealous feelings were caused by the fact that Usagi had a lot of close 
friends, even as queen, and she was able to leave the duties of office
for a 
while.  Rune raised a hand to call for some silence.  A hush fell over
the 
throne room as everyone waited for Princess Rune Venus to speak.

	Looking at Mizuhara, Rune said, "Makoto, could you please tell me what 
you know of this ah-nee-may.  If you don't mind."

	Mizuhara nodded and tried to recall everything he new of the show 
'Bishishoujo Sailor Moon'.  As he told Rune Venus of the adventures that 
were depicted on the show, the Senshi, with the exception of Setsuna,
felt a 
bit embarrassed by the fact that some of these people knew so much about 
them.  Setsuna just smiled and gave Usagi's shoulder a reassuring
squeeze.   
After hearing the tales of the Sailor Senshi, Rune looked at her guests
with 
new respect, especially Usagi.

	Rune asked, "If it is not to much trouble, I would like to see your 
transformation into Sailor Senshi.  If you don't mind."

	Usagi looked at Rune, nodded, and said, "Okay.  The four of us will, 
but Setsuna needs to conserve her power, so she won't transform."

	Setsuna hearing Usagi's words, realized that she had been told not to 
transform.  She just nodded and went to stand by Mizuhara.  The four
Senshi 
called out their transformation phrases and were surrounded by colors
and 
light.  After the spectalce was done, standing before Rune Venus were
Sailor 
Mercury, Sailor Jupiter, and Eternal Sailor Moon.  The El-hazardiansa as 
well as the non-Crystal Tokyo earthlings were stunned by the spectacle. 
The 
El-Hazardians wondered what sort of world theese people came from.

	Back in Crystal Tokyo, Chibi-Usa was trying to figure out a solution 
to a problem.  After heraring about who and what Puu was, she hunted
through 
some of the old books on royal law.  What she found didn't make her
happy.  
Deciding to get some advice, she went in search of the moon cats. 
Cibi-Usa 
found the three cats lying on the lip of the courtyard  fountain,
soaking up 
the sun.  She cleared her throat to get the cats' attention.  The three
cats 
looked up and saw the temporary queen.  They quickly gave her their 
undivided attention.

	Chibi-Usa smiled and said, "Luna, I need to talk with you about 
something important.  Artemis and Diana can go back to sleep."

	Confused, Luna said, "Uh, okay.  You've got my curiosity up."

	Taking a glance at Luna's and Chibi-Usa's dwindling forms Artemis and 
Diana went back to sleep.  Luna wondered what the problem was that
Chibi-Usa 
had.  Chibi-Usa looked somber as she remembered what she found out.  She 
hoped that Luna would have an idea on how to solve the situation. 
Sighing, 
she turned to Luna.

	"Luna, I was doing some research on some of the laws concerning 
royalty," Chibi-Usa explained, "I found out something I didn't like."

	Worried, Luna asked, "What is it?"

	Chibi-Usa explained the laws that she had read about.  She also 
explained about the situation and how she soubted her mother knew of
this 
additional problem.  Luna's demeanor became unusally solemn as she
listened 
to Chibi-Usa.  Chibi-Usa then finished up and stated that she couldn't 
figure a way out.

	Sadly, Luna said, "I'm sorry Chibi-Usa, but I can find no loophole 
either."

	Almost in tears, Chibi-Usa said, "Mama's not going to be to pleased 
about this.  Maybe I should'nt have researched this branch of the law."

	Luna firmly stated, "No. You did the right thing.  Maybe, we can't 
figure out a loophole now, but knowing _now_ gives us time to try and
find 
one."

	Chibi-Usa just nodded and hoped that her mama and her friends were 
all right.
