This is another HORRENDOUS idea, from the man who brought you a 
Psychotic Nene.





Breath-Expanded-Cherry-Flavoured-chewable-Strip Crisis!

The Broken Drum was crowded.

It always was when Angua and the Copies were playing. 

But outside, trouble was brewing.

"Carrot! Message in by pigeon. A Golem- probably a GU-46-C model- is 
rampaging down Short Street!"

"Best get going then."

In the Drum, Angua was halfway through her first song, "A Wizard's Staff 
Has a Knob on the End", when she saw Herrenna in the crowd. She nodded 
at her, and as soon as the ballad was finished, sprinted off  stage 
left. 

Outside, Esk was waiting in the stagecoach, while Angua had a massive 
argument with the landlord. 

"Okay! Okay! I'll do another show for free tomorrow! Now I have to go!"

Esk looked over at Herrenna. "Angua's going to be pissed when she finds 
out we're not being paid for this one."

"Then don't tell her."

Elsewhere, the first wing of the Night Watch was being chewed up by the 
golem. A modified version, Its lightning breath had already taken down a 
Flapper, and had somehow managed to fit a heavy repeating crossbow in 
place of its right arm. 

Suddenly, the prayers of the night watch were answered.

"Amazon Scythes... GO!"

The Golem tried to shoot them, but was taken down rapidly by a hail of 
magically-accelerated crossbow bolts. The four scythes stood over it, 
and the one in the white armour spoke.

"It's a modified version. It's got fusion capability."

"We took it down, didn't we?"

"Yes, but that probably means THAUM is up to something."

Up above them, Carrot watched them. "So that's them..."
