CAUTION: This post contains spoiler potential for Marmalade Boy.
If you have not seen past episode # 72, you may not want to read
this.(But, I'll try to keep it more like a teaser than a spoiler.)

Konnichiwa,

I have what I believe to be a very romantic idea for a short piece.
My trouble is, that it feels like I may have *read* it somewhere. If
anyone can remember a short fic posted the first few months of this
year which sounds like this fic idea, would you *please* write me &
let me know? If someone has already written it, then I don't want to
claim the idea, but would rather get a copy of their work to enjoy,
and go on with my other work.

The idea is this: Urd, being the Goddess of both romance and love,
sees what awaits Miki and Yuu at the end of the series, and realizes
that unless they are properly prepared, it will destroy them and their
family. Thus, she decides to make them a special case, and begins
aiming all sorts of obstacles at them. The reasoning being, that she
has to toughen their love up with trial and tribulation or else it
won't be strong enough when the final test inevitably comes.
So, this fic says that Urd was responsible for all the conflicts,
misunderstandings, rivals, problems, etc. that befall the couple
between ep 2 & 71, hoping to create a happy ending, rather than the
disaster she sees coming.

Does this ring any bells?

It's quite a simple idea, and I can easily believe that it came to me
as a half-recalled memory, rather than a truly creative original
idea. Despite unfortunate exceptions, I feel that fanfiction authors
are a very special little band of kind and creative people, and I just
don't want any author out there becoming upset at me when they see
their own idea re-done and claimed as the child of another.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Arigatou gozaimasu,
Tonbo
