Forgot one very important point in my author's notes, which was then

again).

I have not seen Bubblegum Crash. I have no real desire to. Evidently
the hardsuit configurations change during that story (along with a lot
of the characters' personalities...), and those changes are incompatible

For the record, the character's personalities don't really change.
Linna gets a job as a stockbroker, and seems a little greedier.
The problem with Priss is not that her
personality changes, but that it doesn't change. Her perspective on
Boomers is as if she'd never met Syvie. Nene is still cute and chirpy,
but she's more effective in combat. Sylia's basicly the same.

I have to wonder if you've watched the same Bubblegum Crash I did.

So Nene doesn't really change? Is that why she's taking the *lead* in
combat situations, licking her lips in *anticipation* of combat and telling
the others she'll take care of the boomers attacking them by herself?
Stopped whining and started actually picking on Priss? She's the one
begging Sylia to keep the KS together when Priss and Linna are ready to let
it go. Nene's characterization is the *biggest* change in Crash.

Priss has undergone a personality shift, in that she's back to hating
boomers - apparently she's forgotten about Anri and Sylvie. Linna's pretty
much the same as ever, just a new job. She's certainly not any greedier
than before.

Perhaps the most changed character is Leon, who seems less capable, and
less sure of himself. He seems to be giving way to despair.

The entire ADP is willing to give up, EXCEPT for Leon. He's the one always
leading the way, donning combat suits to go one-on-one against boomers. He
and Daley were exhorting the other ADP detectives to give a shit, remember?

Anyone who told you that there are significant changes in the characters
was operating off their preconceptions rather than really paying
attention.

I think you might need to pay a little more attention. There are huge
characterization changes in Crash.

What is changed in Crash, is the environment. Megatokyo appears
cleaner, less polluted, sunnier and has a lot more boomers which aren't
as smart but are infinitely more useful than Crisis boomers, which were
good for nothing except causing mayhem.

Sounds like the graphics we've seen of BGC TV actually. But do you remember
the bright, sunny, sparklie MegaTokyo of Bubblegum Crisis 8? Or the one
seen out of the window of Linna's gym in BGC 2?

with what I have written. Taking that into account, I am ignoring the
events of BG Crash in this story.

It usually is a good idea to let people know these things ^_^
