Nihao!

This idea just struck me one day, and I can't let go of it.

What if a Hollywood film production company brought R 1/2, and decided to
make it into a block buster movie (North American verison)?  Who'd get to
star as who?

And I've got it all figured out:

Ranma(kun and chan): Leo Dicaprio (androgynous looks, boyish playfulness,
girl-magnet . . . need I say more ?)

Akane: Winona Ryder (I've seen her in Mermaids, and she was GREAT
protraying shy girls who don't know how to express their feelings)

Ryoga: Marky Mark (Bulging Muscles and all . . . )

Shampoo: Kate Winslet (she was SO good at playing feisty, spirited girls
(not always level-headed) who'd take the initiative and chase after her
man.  Also, she HAS the luscious hair and the full figure)

Mousse: Keenau Reeves (did I spell that right?  but anyway, he is tall with
fine features, and has this sedated look about him [like he don't see too
well])

Ukyou: Claire Daned [with long brown hair] (She has this subtle,
androgynous charm . . . something about her dramatic eyes and her carefree
demeanor)

Tatewaki Kuno: Ben Affleck (He has the perfect face and body of Kuno . . .
might have to switchn his contempary charms into Shakespearianish woodeness
though)

Kodachi Kuno: Umma Thurman (Devilishly beautiful, with one of the most
flawless figure of movieland . . . need I say more?)
