I watched the pilot for the new Fantasy Island series.  I have my hands
full with my current series, so I wouldn't be able to write a pilot episode

On the TV series Fantasy Island, people show up to live out their fantasies
over a weekend of time.  Every show, there are new guests with new
fantasies.  I was thinking (and I blame the lateness of the hour again)
that it might make for a fun multi-author series, since the show is
episodic in nature.  There is also usually a trick to each fantasy, so the
guest seems to learn something about life or themselves.  No fantasy seems
to end perfectly.

I was thinking... would any other authors on this list be willing to write
self-contained episodes?  I would be willing to act as series editor, and I
have an idea or two for the pilot episode.  The FFML could give Nielsen
ratings for each episode that gets released. :)

So, tell me honest... does this idea sound stupid, or fun?

Heck, it's better than what I've heard in the last couple of days.
Let me suggest ten "fantasies" to do...
10) Ranma Saotome finds the cure for his girl-problem. Then he finds out he
    actually would rather be a girl than a guy.

I _really_ doubt that one.  But he could easily decide that 
being both was better.  

 9) Ryouga Hibiki fantasizes how it would be if he and Akane were steady. Then
    he finds out how much a pain in the rear she really is.
 8) Sailor Moon becames Tuxedo Kamen for a weekend. Tuxedo Kamen becomes Sailor
    Moon. You do the math.

You end up with a competent Sailor Moon who saves the world with
a lot less effort and her bumbling sidekick?

 7) A otaku writes an EVA fic that *isn't* dark. (Actually, I'd like to see that
    happen. In real life.)

I've seen it.  But really that's like asking for a Vampire Princess
Miyu fic that isn't dark.  Except VPM is basicly a more cheerful
story.  

 6) Tenchi has a peaceful day with the rest of the ladies. Then his grandfather
    threatens to disown him if he doesn't marry one of the girls. Now.

I don't get it.  

 5) Skuld becomes a first class goddess unlimited. Hell freezes over. She turns
    Keiichi and Belldandy into cabbits. She causes Urd to fall in love with
    Megami. Hell freezes over again.

I have my doubts as to whether Rourke pulls that much juice.

 4) Michael Jordan helps the Slam Dunk crowd win the state title. THEN he
    teaches them how to play golf.
 3) Evagelion has a vision of her fantasy man. Unfortunately, it turns out to be
    Goku from Dragonball Z.

 2) Nabiki Tendo IS Miss Rourke! That's her fantasy!!!
And the number one fantasy to do...
 1) C-ko must sacrifice herself or else the fantasy island volcano will blow up.
    A-ko and B-ko are more than eager to push her in.

That's not the fantasy, that's the plot twist.  The Fantasy would
be "C-Ko wants everyone to pay attention to her again."
