Thank you.  I don't think I could quite descend to Lovecraft's level of
darkness, though, no matter how hard I tried.
 
Not on a world wide level, remember his stories often dealt with the end of humanity or the earth or even the universe.
You seldom write stories that wide ranging, but on a personal level, This was as strongly emotional a story as I have ever read, ( of course the emotion was despair). I believe I have seldom, if ever, read a story that made feel as strongly  in sync with a suicide. I will look for part three of the tale. If ever and whenever you feel  like doing it.
