A lot of people talk about the lance of Longinius in conjunction with
Eva. I assume you know all about the mythology surrounding it, and, in
particular, its present (supposed) resting place?
If you do, you may as well delete this message now.
If you're still reading, you want to know.
Right!
The ORIGINAL Lance is also known as the Spear of Destiny. It was the
spear thrust into the side of Christ while he was on the cross. A person
who wields it is supposed to be an unsurpassable warrior/general, fully
in control of his own destiny- but a terrible downfall will overcome
them.
The last general to posess it was, apparently, Adolf Hitler. (NOTE: I am
delving into modern legend here. This may not be entirely true.) After
he marched into Austria, he claimed it (supposedly) from the Imperial
Museum in Vienna.
It's still there, they say.
Finally, Longinius was most likely not a real person. Longinius is, as
far as I know, the Latin word for lance.
Helpful?
Probably not. :P
