On what level?  There is plenty of nastiness here and it's going to get worse.

Dispite being an obsessive Oni demoness, Lum really is Skuld's best
friend, which will be brought out in volume two, "Lum".  Some old friends
who will show up later are in no sense so well disposed towards her.

One nasty bit I deleted was to have some eight-year olds in the bleachers.

First boy: (Looking at the fireball) "Oh my goddess!  She's killed Ataru!"

Second boy: (Looking at the friend sitting next to them with a metal
fragment from the rocketpack embedded in his forehead)  "And Kenny too,
that bitch!".

(Does a quick cross reference between Lum's stormtroopers and the South
Park kids.... Naw.)

If you can't stand goddess abuse you really shouldn't be reading this
story, but the pattern of Skuld's murderous rampage stops here because
Darling is totally indestructible, t'cha!
