Subject: Re: [FFML] [Fanfic][Various] 'Angry Letters'

?????: Hey! Let's review this one in script format!

Been wondering. How the heck do you pronounce ????? anyway?

Exactly how it looks.

Oh, and I think your ripping on 'Angry Letters' was a bit rude. It
didn't come off nearly as humerous as I'm sure you intended.

Wasn't meant to be all fun and games. And sorry if it was rude, I just
get a bit hot tempered about Akane telling anyone, ESPECIALLY Mrs.
Takahashi, that they are wrong. Sorry if I went a little overboard. My
friends were speaking comments that should've been mine alone since I
was the only one reading it.

GAH! I might becoming another GUBBY!

 I've never hit
anyone in my life, especially not my boyfriend.

Huh?: Uh-huh. I'd like to see _THIS_ in reality.

What? I'm sure there are a lot of people who have never hit anyone in
their lives. Akane's hitting is mostly obvious gags anyway.

Well, I guess I should made the same comment on this as Dana Carvey made
about Waterworld: "You can't pee into a Mr. Coffee and expect Taster's
Choice!"

I can think of few people that could twist someone's life into such a
weird world without SOME of it being true. Besides, who would practice
in the Dojo? Surely Mr. Tendo would want at least one of his daughters
to learn the art.

 And jeez, just because
he's living with my family, why do you have to make it so that there
is
some screwed up arranged marriage deal?

C-chan: And how could there not be? You can't look at a normal girl
with a her normal boyfriend and get a 38 volume manga out of it.
Unless

What about 'Maison Ikokku'? Sure the people there have exaggerated
personalities, but there's nothing supernatural or extranormal there.

That's Normal Insanity as TharzZzy would say. Things that are just
crazy enough in real life.

"There was a small blue-green planet called 'Earth' where they still
thought that Digital Watches were a neat idea." - Douglas Adams.

What about, um, 'Harlem Beat'? (I just got my Mixxzine yesterday.)

You certainly could do a manga about a normal girl and her normal
boyfriend. Just the 'not engaged but living with her family' bit could
provide volumes of entertainment.

A-kun: Good idea, really bad arguments. First of all, if Mrs. Tendou
Akane were to have had her life as the basis of the story, then she
would've read Urusei Yatsura, The Mermaid Saga, Maison Ikokku and
other
fine Takahashi stories.

All of those have extremely different styles. Expecting Takahashi to
do
a "realistic" manga is no big deal. It's just another style.

Yes, but if Takahashi had actually talked to Akane enough for them to
know each other by aquataince (sp?), then Takahashi-sama would've told
her if it were to be a serious or a silly manga. I doubt Mrs. Takahashi
is one to just do something to someone's life without their permission
or at least without telling them first.

?????: And besides, Real Life sucks as it is. We don't need people
reminding us of that.

Does not.

Maybe yours doesn't.

Huh?: And besides, even if Mrs. Takahashi based it on someone's life,
the instant that life goes onto paper, it's instantly open for
alterations and such.

So that means Akane shouldn't be upset about it?

Well, maybe a polite letter asking if this was what was intended or so.
Besides, this kind of rash thinking makes her more and more like the
violent girl she is in the serious. If she's this vicious in a letter,
sooner or later, she WILL hit someone. And then, she'll be just another
hypocrite.

C-chan: Frankly, Akane should be happy about the manga. If she
really
IS the basis for the story, she could get part of the profits. And

That argumant carries some weight. On the other hand, her boyfriend
should also be getting part of it. After all, he's the title
character! Yet he's still broke. Hmmm, maybe we've discovered the
real
reason that Akane is mad.

Maybe. Then again, perhaps the idea wasn't thought out fully. I mean,
if this was actually going on, wouldn't someone being trying to sue Mrs.
Takahashi? In which case, it can be proven that with so many
inconsistances between her real life and the manga Akane, that there is
no correlation and thus, there is no reason for Akane to be complaining
since it's not about her.

Sorry if I made you mad, I was acting rashly. I apologize to everyone
because I was just as whiny as I try not to be.
