No, actually, it did.  The Slayers Movie (aka Slayers Perfect I was
told... but I won't swear to it) comes first. Then there are a series of
OAVs with Linna and Naga running around as partners [ADVision has them
on the schedule for release later this year]. And at least 1 more OAV,
and possibly another movie. (The rumor is that there's a 'schism' of
some kind at the end of the second movie or offscreen right after it; I
don't know for sure.)  

Then the first Slayers TV series picks up.  Mind you, this isn't
necessarily the *order* the different animes were made in, but it is the
chronological order. It has also never been definitively stated that the
tv series and OAVs share the same continuity. However, they clearly
could be.

She's 16 - she actually says so. I think the appearance reference is
just that she appears pre-pubescent because she's a bit flat.

Finally - Chris!! Did you have to mention the names of the friends
getting married??? Couldn't you have just said "some friends' wedding"?
