What if the Rei that appears in Episode 24 is Rei II?

You mean the one in the 'normal life' sequence?

I thought that was Episode 26.

No, I meant when Shinji is fighting the last Angel, and suddenly Rei is
there.  What if that wasn't Rei III, but Rei II, attempting to change how
things end?

Okay, maybe not that interesting.  :)  But there is a lot that *can* be
played with.  Again, can't wait to see what you come up with.  :D
