I'd like to thank everyone for their immediate support of Draxon's
Review Corner, I've recieved everything from 'hey, get to work' notes to
'I'm using your review system' notices and that has me geared up and ready
to go.  Unfortuanately, the FFML is not feeding me the kinds of fan fiction
I am capable of reviewing.  Everything is either a short story (not long
enough to warrant the 90 minutes I [ideally] spend composing a review) or it
is part 3 of chapter 12 of book 5, etc.  I was initially hoping to only
review new stuff, so my reviews would be kinda like the five o'clock news:
Fresh.
    It seems like I am going to have to back away from my earlier rule
against submissions and use that as my primary source of material. However,
in order to keep the submissions from becoming unmanagable I need to have
one simple guideline followed.  The subject line of any fanfiction submitted
to me needs to be labeled in the following way...

[DRC] [Series] [Title]

    If it is mislabeled, you might get along fine, but I usually get a
little grumpy about reviewing a mislabeled fanfic.  Don't put [Fanfic] in
the subject, that is labeling for the FFML, not the DRC.

    If it takes me some time to get to your fanfic, don't worry.  Draxon's
Review Corner absolutely does not post 'useless reviews'.  By that I mean
the C&C that says "Great fic.  I want to see more."  The goal of DRC's
reviewing operation is to provide C&C that is as thoughtful and refined as
any fanfiction, so that the benefit to the readership and the authors is
*real*.  I guarantee that the quality of C&C generated by DRC will be on-par
with any other public C&C/Reviewing operation out there.  As a sidenote, the
more thoughtful and complete the fanfic I am asked to review, the more
thoughtful and complete the finished review will be.  Asking me to read
chapter one of a twelve chapter project will get you a spelling and grammer
check, and some very vague, general comments unless you are very good at
posting in chapters.  The quality of the fanfiction will also play a factor,
it is easier for me to tell everyone that something was great than that
there were problems, and that they could be fixed by....
    Also, I will not review something that offended me.  Any flames or
seriously negative comments coming from me will not be vented under the
guise of an official review of Draxon's Review Corner.  I dont think that
will be a problem, however, I can't think of a fanfic that actually offended
me right now.
    I'm not sure what else to say... There is always something I leave out
of this kind of message, so I guess I'll just have to live with that
reality.  On Sunday I plan to re-draft my reviewing methods to include these
and other changes and additions, and I will [update - *Might*] post that
text to the FFML so everyone will know exactly what to expect out of me.  I
am currently working on Sailor Moon AX by Rob Barba and the crew at Studio
Yogipigs, and if I find that I am comfortable with posting a review of a
Sailor Moon fic in progress that may well be my first project to be
completed and shipped to the masses.
