*This is a sound.*
'This is a thought.'
_This is emphasis._
{This is a sign.}
<This is Chinese.>

Don't you wish Hotmail could give us fonts?

  "Uniform ... uniform ... bleah ... dress ... dress ...", Ranma posed
briefly with a sundress, "mmm, looks good, but _I_ wouldn't want to try
to high kick in it...".

That should be "high-kick". It's a single noun.

  "Nearly 4 million cash!", Ranma gloated, "and better than 2 million
5 in loot too! As I said, not bad at all!"

"Four million" and "two-million-five" it should be.

  "Well, after all, Akane-chan, they did try to accost us, you know.
If you don't apply some kind of penalty, they'll surely slip further
and further into Crime, ne? And we do deserve some sort of compensation
for our efforts, right? Besides: to the victor, the spoils."

Just "crime". You don't need to anthropomorphize.

  "Um, Ranma-san, I just wanted to thank you for the opportunity you
provided me this morning. And, um, Ithinkyoushouldtake10percentofthe-
moneyinthanks", Nabiki blushed as though she could not believe what
she had just said.

"I-think-you-should-take-ten-percent-...", you get the idea.

  Ranma winked at her "Already taken care of, Nabiki-san, and thank
you. Kasumi-san, may I speak with you privately for a moment?" Then
whispered in her ear, "Take 350k and use it for incidental household
expenses please, Nabiki isn't as solvent as she'd like you to think."

"Three-fifty" if you want the k make it "three-hundred-fify K."

A response which is noted as common, in cases of great Decision.

This doesn't seem to be a complete scentence. And no capital D.

  And across Nerima, silence fell, and quiet reigned. And if, in some
corner, those who felt themselves abused whispered, and plotted
revenge,
Ranma and Akane, at least, took no notice.

Huh?

"Sorry, your mailspool was deleted. We figure it's probably encoded
somewhere in Pi, though, so as soon as we find it we'll let you know."

Well, it is different, I'll give you that. But I need to see where your
going with this before I can form an opinion.
