Hmm... I dunno, I've read very Little of TSY, I know it's been
around forever, but
I know a LOT of UY fans hate it.
yep. While TSY is a favorite of mine, putting it on any list of
classic fanfictions is asking to be flamed. I note that the
maintainer of the 'official' UY fanfic page from Tomobiki-cho has
re-edited the description to put TSY in a more negative light. UY
fans don't just hate TSY...they despise it with every fiber of their
beings. ;_; Ah, well. But yes, I'd agree it doesn't fit what your
page needs.
Ahhh... Thankfully I am not doing a page on classic fanfics ^^;
I saw the TSY description at Tomobiki-cho and sighed... I can see
why the title was changed from Classic UY to TSY to distinguish
the series but I had no problems reading through all sixty odd
TSY stories ^^;
I'll be archiving the rest of Herriot's writings. He's already
had the UY-TSY/ The Ishinomaki Years and 20 years later handled,
which means that I'm covering A Remarkable Destiny, Galatea
Syndrome, the Sailormoon fics: Sailor Twins, Faith No More,
College Life: Sisters and Lonely Those Who Gaurd.
As well, Herriot's latest fics: In the End... There can only be one.
will be archived. ^^;
I would guess that TSY is not suitable for all readers but it's
certainly not something to be hated.
In some senses, it could be considered a classic fanfic simply because
it is one of the giants of the field and the repercussions are
very much... Then again, I also would consider Lew Burton's Just
a Dream to be a classic because of its depth and the ideas
introduced...
In some sense, I've picked my own classics and I can stick with them
^^; and I won't expect anyone to agree with me either ^^;
