Amazingly, most people don't devote their entire life to reading fanfics.
A substantial number of people don't even read their email every day.  I
myself often am far enough behind that I may not be able to read a story I
get for several days if it is very long at all.  Just because email makes
near instant response possible doesn't mean people will make instant
responses.

And even if they read it instantly, that doesn't mean they'll respond
instantly. I have five or seven prereads for IMBS, all of whom read with
the understanding that they get dropped from the list if they miss a
responce. Needless to say, they all respond. Mostly to stop me from
nagging them. :)

We get valuable C&C from these people. They're very enthusiastic, and are
all volunteers. Lord knows there are less demanding people than me to C&C
for.

Almost all of them take at least two days to respond.

I can't say I'm always thrilled about the delay, but they're the ones
doing Susan and me the favor. And I'm not so great about prompt responces
either. :)

Give em another two or three days. If they still don't respond, get new
prereaders.
