Somewhere in a secret headquarters located in a secret canyon. Did
I
mention it's secret?

*BLIP*

"What was that?" said generic-superhero one.

"I think it was a blip sir." replied generic-superhero two.
"Scanning.
My god! It's confirmed. Bio-readings match... pattern GREEN!"

"Pattern green? The world is in danger! We must stop this threat
immediately." he raised his fist in determination.

"Uh, but won't we miss the donut truck?"

"Think man! What's more important at this time? The world or donuts?
"

The two men paused.

"You're right. I'll go get my wallet."

"Get me a lemon cream, okay?"

*RING*

Goddammit, why isn't there an answer? wondered Jay angrily. He
looked
back tenatively to see if the alien was anywhere around. It wasn't.

Yet.

"C'mon.. c'mon..." he muttered.

"Hello?" the voice at the other end said.

"Finally! Look, we've got problems--"

"Hello? Hello?"

"Yeah, hello! This is Capow SDF division--"

"Hello? Haha.. just kidding! We're not here to take your call. You
know the drill." <BEEP>

"Arrgh!!!" Jay screamed into the receiver, then slamming the phone
down.
He slumped back against the glass telephone booth. After the floor
had
collapsed, he managed to evacuate the building and was somewhere in
Capow's centre. The streets were empty. Suddenly, he heard the
pounding of footsteps.

<TAP><TAP><TAP>

Jay looked around and grabbed a wooden post lying on the ground. He
readied himself. The noise grew louder and louder.

<TAP><TAP><TAP>

The figure emerged around the corner.

Jay screamed, mostly in fear and partially in rage. "AIEEEEE!!!!"

The girl screamed too. "AHHHHHHHH!!"

Jay stopped himself before he smashed the girl with the wooden post.

"err.. sorry."

"Are you NUTS?"

Jay studied the girl. She was asian, short, with short hair. She
was
wearing jogging clothes and was pulling earphones from her ears.
She
looked oddly familiar.

"Gomen! Gomen! I thought you were an alien! Hey, you shouldn't be
here! There's an alien on the rampage!"

"Yeah right, an alien," the girl scoffed, then paused. "Then again,
this is Capow." She shrugged. "Hi, my name's Elyssa. I work at
the
Lurker's Retreat."

Jay pounded a fist into his hand. So that's why she looks familiar.

She's kinda cute, too. "Hi, my name's Jay Arisugawa," he responded
in
kind, with a grin. Then he remembered the alien. "Oh geez, we'd
better
get outta here!"

As he began pulling her away from the telephone booth corner, she
stopped and picked up a small white disc. "Hey, you dropped your
minidisc." She held the disc, which was completely mangled and
trampled
on.

"Ahh!! My minidisc!" Jay sobbed. "My favorite songs were on there."

He had a tearful look in his eyes. "There's nothing left for me
now...."

"Umm... your minidisc player doesn't look too good either." she
pointed
to the wrecked mechanism loosely clipped to his belt.

Jay looked down. He fumed. "DAMN YOU ALIEN!! YOU'LL PAY FOR
THAT!!"
