************************************************************* Whatever
motivated me to write this fic? To be honest, I don't know. It's the story.
It has allure. And I have ideas. Enjoy.
Notes on this fic: Despite anything anybody says, this fic is most definitely
not a spin-off. It only looks like that because aliens from planet X-3825
have secretly altered everyone's brains. This fic is written in TV-script
format because some idiot thinks that it conveys the anime-feel better than
prose. That idiot advises you to read this as if you were watching a tape.
Trust no-one. Everything has a purpose. There's no such thing as Fate.

************************************************************* Disclaimers:
The more the merrier (Almost an entire page!). THIS IS A FANFIC FANFIC!
This is the first fanfic I've written alone. Be nice.
Blame Suzi Dayton for everything! She gave me the idea!
IMPORTANT WARNING: You have to have a working knowledge of Long Ngo's
Past/Future to understand this fic. (That is, assuming you know Ranma and Eva
before you read Past/Future.) Do not read this fic if you have a problem with
constantly repeated anime screen-change devices such as 'flash.'
All works involved belong to their respective owners if you can even
recognize the works used. The characters, Oririel and Chie, were created by
me, but I don't own them because they were based on other existing
characters. I'm writing this only for my personal pleasure (and hopefully
yours too), so don't sue me anybody, cause I don't have any money and I'm not
making any money off of this. If you want to post this, feel free, but don't
change it in any way without my permission.

Fanfic fanfic disclaimer. Weirdfic disclaimer. EVA disclaimer. Darkfic
disclaimer. Alternaverse disclaimer. Spoiler disclaimer. Script disclaimer.
SI Warning: Yes, I'm in this fic. The speaker designation will have my name
on it, so you'll recognize me when you see me. Please don't shoot the author.
(Don't worry. If you close your eyes, chances are I'll go away. I'm only
there for a few scenes.)
All elements of this story that are non-canon as compared to any of the
series this is based on are intentional.
Anybody who finds their favorite anime/manga fanfics being taken apart by
crude and clumsy hands disturbing, do not read ahead! If you do, there's a
chance that you won't get over the trauma.
What rating is this fic? Well, hmmmm . . . presently the rating is NOT
graphic enough. I'll have to improve on that. (Get your mind out of the
gutter!)
Do not expect to see this disclaimer again. My mailer doesn't like to send
big chunks at once, and I don't want to waste bandwidth. Anybody who reads
fanfics should know that unless explicitly stated, the "standard fanfic
disclaimer" applies to all fics.
For the sake of popularity, this fic will be classified under Ranma in the
RAAC archives. The truth, however, is the fact that this fic belongs under
Ranma no more than it belongs under EVA or AMG and a number of other series.
C&C, questions, spam, MSTs welcomed (can you do an MST of an MST?). Flames
and Gubby comments will be laughed at and filed neatly into the trash.
(Correction: C&C PLEASE! I really need it!)
************************************************************* What's gone
before: Nothing at all. Notes about the first two worlds we find: (nothing
you need to know) The third world is a Past/Future alternate reality.
Continuation will be ignored for the most part. Think of this as a OVA.
Black screen. BEAT.
Flash: There is a small child on a hill in the plains, standing in the tall
grass. His back is facing the camera. It's stormy, though there's no rain,
only violent winds that cause the grass to ripple. It tears at the child's
long ragged shirt, but he doesn't seem to notice. He's talking to someone, a
specter of a woman.
Specter (Yui):
"What is your name?"
Child: "My name is in the past, and I dare not think about that which has
been, for the more I remember, the more I want to forget."
Specter (Yui):
"Where are the other people?"
Child: "Where is no one here anymore. Once there were many, but they have all
left for a better place."
Specter (Yui):
"Why are you still here?"
Child:
"It is my fate to be here, and I shall fulfill it."
Specter (Yui):
"When will you leave?"
Child: "I shall never. I love this place, and I shall protect that which I
love, else there would be no meaning to what I do."
Specter (Yui):
"Can you live on?"
Child:
"I live in the future and the future is unknown. I shall make it so."
Specter (Yui):
"Can I trust you?"
Child:
"I have nothing to lie for, nothing to lose."
Specter (Yui):
"Thank you."
With a gust of wind, she blows away like a cloud of smoke before the child's
eyes. Flash to a point on the ground in front of the child, facing him. The
child is looking up at the sky, so that the scene doesn't include is face his
face.
Child: "I remember your name. I have lost you once, and I shall never lose
you again."
Opening song: Era, by Eric Levi Opening animation: Black screen, top right
corner lit yellow. As the light gets brighter, it encompasses the entire
scene, revealing an old piece of parchment with unintelligible cursive
writing on it.
White characters, Times, as all the rest of the written characters in this
series will be: Chad Yang presents (Fade) Revelations (Fade) a fanfiction
(Fade)
Blue screen; the sky, clouds flying past. The angle changes, to reveal that
the camera is several hundred meters above ground, flying fast across a
beautiful countryside, with pictures of Latin inscriptions and carvings on
stones going by in slow motion, faded to about 30% opacity. When the singing
begins, flash to a darkened sky with clouds. We see an angel's backside.
He/she is standing, looking at the sky. Wind is blowing, the clouds are
moving fast.. When singing ends, flash to face. Bottom of face; can't see
eyes. A tear rolls down the cheek and falls. Flash to flying scene again.
When third singing begins, show scenes from various manga and anime, one to
each beat. When song finishes, end like a television screen shutting off; a
little spark in the center.

Revelations 0:1
Episode 01: Ano . . .
Flash: The interior of an old gothic church. Only a few old folks are in the
audience, spread out rather sparse.. Flash to speaker. It's Ikari Gendo, but
he's . . . different. His face is almost kind. He's wearing normal glasses,
little circular ones for reading. Standing at the podium, he smiles as he
speaks, with a sort of a wild gleam in his eyes, something the Gendo we know
lacks completely. He speaks with a passion.
Gendo: ". . . you can spend hours, days, even weeks arguing whether miracles
still happen today. In the end, you'll get nowhere, for miracles, like
beauty, are in the eye of the beholder. The question is not whether miracles
still happen. The question is whether or not you believe in Him enough. For
the believer, everything is a miracle. The Lord is the Creator of this world
in which we live, and every bit of this world is part of the miracle of
creation. Those who believe see truth in this, and are grateful; the grass;
the trees; the air. Even the pain. All these things were created by the Lord
to teach us, and little by little, we become closer to Him. We thank the Lord
for his teachings. Amen."
Mass:
"Amen."
The audience begins to leave. Gendo smiles. He leaves the podium and goes
around the benches, making his way to the door of the mass. He turns left
down the hall as soon as he gets out the door. Flash to inside of a little
office with shelves of books lining the walls. A girl that looks remarkably
like Rei is sitting inside. She's looks like a normal Japanese girl; not
albino. She's wearing the same school uniform as Rei. She's sitting in an
armchair in front of a little mahogany desk crowded with books and papers.
There's a lunchbox with a black cat on top in her lap. She's holding it,
studying it, expression neutral. Gendo opens the door.
Gendo:
"Chie! Why are you here?"
The girl looks up, almost surprised. When she gets over it, she smiles.
Girl: "Hello Daddy! Um . . . You forgot lunch this morning. Mommy asked me to
bring it to you."
She hands the lunchbox to him. He smiles as well, and goes around the desk,
placing the box in the center.
Gendo: "Thank you, Chie. Tell mother I'll get home early tonight, okay?
Today's Saturday, isn't it?"
Girl:
"Yes, Daddy."
She turned to the door and opened it, before closing the door, she took one
last look at Gendo. Her eyes are sad.
Girl:
"Goodbye, father."
She closes the door.
Flash to Gendo's mouth.
Gendo: "Was that . . . a farewell?" Flash to Toji's face. He looks nervous.
He's looking at something. Flash to the back of his head. He's looking at a
banner with the NERV symbol at the left, and red words: Nippon Evangelical
Reform Vindication. It's hanging above the front door of a church.
Girl:
"Toji-kun?"
Toji:
(thinking)
Kensuke? Or Asuka?
Toji turns around, staring right into the girl's face. She's smiling.
He turns beat red and falls over. The girl giggles.
Girl:
"Hello Toji-kun."
Toji:
"Ah . . . um . . . Hello . . ."
Girl:
"Be careful, Toji! Next time you might break something."
She reaches out a hand

Flash to Ikari Shinji. He's standing on a beach at sunset, facing someone

Voice (another girl):
"Will you come with me?"
Shinji:
"Yes."

Now
Flash to the first girl. She's lying on her back, looking at the moon in the
night sky.
Girl:
"It's nice seeing how happy they are . . . Oririel?"
Voice (another girl)(off screen):
"Yes Chie?"
Chie:
"I'm not sure who I am anymore. That boy . . . his name was Shinji."
Oririel:
"Yes."
Chie: "I remember all of his memories. As well as those of Rei, and this girl
with the same name as I have . . . Oririel? Did you name me after her?"
Oririel:
"Yes."
Chie:
"Am I Shinji? Or Rei? Or Chie?"
Oririel: "Once you were Shinji, but you're not him anymore. You are who you
are. Shinji no longer exists."
Chie:
"Am I a boy or a girl?"
Oririel:
"What do you think you are?"
Chie:
"I think I'm a girl, but sometimes I catch myself thinking like a boy."
Flash: Chie bumping into a Misato, who's dressed like a nun. Chie blushes,
then hurries away. Flash back to previous scene.
Chie:
"Is Shinji still alive?"
Oririel:
"Only if you want him to be."
Chie was silent.
Oririel:
"Do you want to meet Shinji?"
Chie:
"Meet?"
Oririel:
"Yes. In the place where we are going to, he is still alive."
Chie:
"He is?"
Oririel:
"Yes. He is . . ."
