Tsurugi, prologue/teaser.
Catbert25 presents...
It was the middle of the night and all was quiet at the Tendo
Dojo. That is until Ranma Saotome staggered into the Tendo Dojo and
collapsed in the door way. He clutched his neck and gasped for breath as
he struggled into the home. All he knew was pain and the fact that his
stomach was beginning to burn. His body felt cold to the touch and he was
breaking into a cold sweat. His hands were red with blood as he clutched
his neck and gasped for each breath. He crawled up the stairs and forced
himself to calm down as his life blood spilled out onto the ground. He
turned towards the first door in the hall and raised his hand to knock.
He staggered for a moment and fell to the ground just outside the room.
His hand fell away from his neck and he smiled as he realized that he was
dying as the blood pooled around him. The darkness came and then nothing,
it was all he would know for the rest of eternity...or was it?
A fanfic based on the works of Rumiko Takahashi...
Akane Tendo woke early the next day and stretched her arms in a
yawn. She stood and frowned as the memories of the previous night
returned to her. She had stayed up half the night waiting for her so
called fiancee' to return from where ever he had been and gone to bed
angry. She staggered out into the hall and headed for the bath. She
realized that Ranma was not up yet because the back yard was still empty
and Kasumi had just started breakfast. She walked by her older sister's
door and felt a chill run down her spine as she did. She glanced at the
ground and saw only a few tiny brown stains there, nothing more. She
sighed and continued towards the bath for her morning ritual.
A few minutes later she emerged from the bathroom and stalked
towards the doorway of her 'beloved's' room with a bucket of cold water
in her arms. She opened the door silently and gasped as only a panda and
an empty futon greeted her.
Her face contorted from anger to worry and concern. "Ranma?"
in association with Vis communications...
Later that night she returned from school finally. Immediately
after her day at school she had set out on a long day of visiting Ranma's
usual hang outs. Her anger was quickly forgotten as the boy has vanished
without a trace. She walked into the home and turned to see her family
sitting around the table eating dinner. She felt anger boil up from the
pit of her stomach.
"How can you all be so calm?! Ranma is missing and your eating
dinner like nothing is wrong?" she screamed in disbelief.
"Akane, it's not like this doesn't happen all the time. What are
you so worried about?" said Nabiki calmly as she picked a small piece of
meat from her bowl and ate it.
"I'm not worried!" retorted Akane angrily. She forced herself to
sit at the table with her family and ate.
"Kasumi, this meat's a little under done." said Soun casually as
he wiped his chin.
"Really? I hadn't noticed." said Nabiki as she looked at her
food. It was a little rare, but hardly raw either.
"Your right." noted Akane in surprise.
"Oh my, I guess I should check the recipe again." said Kasumi
looking worried.
...and Marvel comics...
A little later Akane stood in her room and sat at the window. She
frowned as she gazed out into the night. "Ranma you jerk, how could you
just leave like that?" she muttered as a breeze blew by sending her
curtains billowing gently outward. She sighed and leaned out the window
to enjoy the spring air. She felt better almost immediately. Then a
familiar chill ran down her spine and she caught movement out of the
corner of her eye. "Ranma?" she whispered and gazed out onto the rooftop.
She climbed out onto it like she had many times before and looked around
at the silence that surrounded her. A cold fear formed in the pit of her
stomach and she shuddered. Around her was nothing but silence. She took
one more wary look around and crawled back into her room. She never
noticed the figure move by in the shadows and jump off the roof into the
night behind her.
...and New Line Cinema...
In the streets of Nerima Ryoga Hibiki walked along a deserted
stretch of road along side a familiar looking drainage ditch. He frowned
and glanced around hoping to recognize some landmark to guide him to a
safe place to stay for the night. He sighed and continued along the road
relentlessly.
...Staring Ranma Saotome...
He walked on for several minutes before a voice stopped him.
"Hello Ryoga."
The lost boy turned to see a familiar figure standing on top of
the fence. She sneered down at him and her eyes seemed to put off an
unnatural light. "Ranma, what do you want?" said Ryoga bitterly. He had
already taken up a defensive position.
The girl ignored him and simply watched for a moment cocking her
head to the side as if in curiosity. She stood that way for almost a
minute and started to play with the buttons on her shirt casually. "Tell
me, do you want this body?" she asked him.
"What? Are you crazy?!" said Ryoga in disgust. He blushed hard
and turned away thankful that she could not see his face.
Ranma laughed and unbuttoned her Chinese style silk shirt, she
threw it off revealing the fact that she was wearing nothing else. "Your
so cute when you blush P-chan." she said with a giggle. She eyed him
hungrily as the smell of his arousal seemed to float up to her nostrils.
The laughter was not a pleasant sound to Ryoga's ears and he backed away
reflexively.
"What-what are you...doing...?" stammered Ryoga as he found
himself unable to pull away from the girl's gaze.
...Akane Tendo...
"Feeding off your desires." replied Ranma with a cruel smile that
Ryoga thought was awfully clear for as dark as it was, it was as if he
could only see Ranma and nothing else. "I know you want this." she said
seductively.
"Your nuts! I'm...Your a guy!" said Ryoga as he tried desperately
to pull his eyes away.
"What does that have to do with your desires? You know you want
this Ryoga, come and we can be together...forever." said Ranma as she
slowly stalked towards him along the top of the fence.
Ryoga shook his head and tried to clear his mind as he realized
that his judgment was being muddled some how. He looked up to see Ranma
was leaping towards him in what seemed like slow motion.
"No!" he cried and lept into the air to avoid her, but Ranma
shifted in the air and tackled him. Ryoga screamed as he felt Ranma's
teeth sink into his neck and her incredible strength pin his arms at his
side. They splashed into the water in the bottom of the canal and Ryoga
felt the change overtake him, Ranma lost his grip on his body as it
shrank and Ryoga fell into the water and floated down stream as the water
forced his weakened body down stream. A few moments passed and he felt
his lungs begin to buckle as he tried to breathe as the current drug him
along beneath the water. His entire body seemed to burn like it was on
fire and he felt his limbs explode in pain as if his muscles were
swelling against his skin and ripping through it.
Then only darkness.
...Ukyo Konji...
He awoke the next morning early just as the horizon was beginning
to glow with the first signs of morning. He was lying in the water facing
the sky, the current gently lapped against his cheek and he shook his
head as the memories of the night before flooded back to him. "What a
nightmare." he muttered to himself. He then realized that he was sitting
in the canal and was still human. He gasped and looked at his hands in
disbelief. "I-I'm cured." he stammered. He slapped himself hard and
realized that he wasn't dreaming. He stood with tears in his eyes and
looked up at the morning sun as it peeked over the horizon and frowned as
it seemed almost impossibly bright to him. He shielded his eyes and
frowned as he glanced around. He realized that he was hungry as he walked
along the bottom of the narrow ditch and looked for an easy way to climb
out. The morning never seemed so sweet to him no matter how battered he
felt right now. The sun warmed his skin and he found a spot and climbed
out of the ditch feeling incredibly strong and healthy. He jumped over
the fence easily and stood enjoying the feeling of warmth on his back as
the sun rose behind him. He turned to see his traveling bag sitting
twenty feet away down the street from him. He strolled over and picked it
up. A cold fear shocked him fully awake as he saw the red shirt sitting
crumpled on the ground where it had landed just behind the pack. Ryoga
reached up and felt his neck only to find it was unscathed.
"What the hell is going on?" he muttered.
...Shampoo...
The next thing he knew was a burning thirst in his stomach and
his eyes fell on a small cat who had staggered out of an alley lazily.
Before he had even realized what had happened he found himself sitting in
a shadow with the animal dead in his hands and a warm sensation in his
mouth as it filled with blood. He had never felt such pleasure in all his
life. He gasped in horror and threw the husk on the ground roughly. "My
God!" he exclaimed in complete terror as he ran from the spot. "What's
happening to me?!" he screamed as he ran. He found himself jumping from
roof top to roof top as the sun shone relentlessly in his eyes. He fell
to his knees and began to sob on the roof of some nameless restaurant. He
looked and saw the red tears fall onto the back of his hands and screamed
in terror. He staggered back into the shadow of a vent and sat feeling
comforted by the darkness. He had only begun to realize that last night
was not a dream.
...Mousse...
Then it hit him, Ranma Saotome was dead. He looked at his hands
and they shook as he felt his face and found warm flesh. His tongue ran
along the razor edge of his teeth and was cut slightly sending a soothing
jet of blood into his mouth. He sucked on it a moment and felt the pain
throb down his spine. It was this pain that made him realize that he was
still alive. He stood and glared into the sun for as long as he could.
"Akane, If it's not already too late. I swear I will keep you
safe from that monster." he cried over the rooftops. "If it is..." the
boy choked on the words and tried to hold back his tears. "If it is too
late...I swear I will avenge the both of us." he said bitterly as he
looked at his clenched fist.
...And Ryoga Hibiki as...
--T-S-U-R-U-G-I--
Coming soon
It shouldn't be hard to spot the inspiration for this one. BLADE KICKS
ASS! Finally, the first comic book movie done right since the first
Batman flick!
I know I really don't have time to start another fic, but this
concept is just way too cool! I've just gotta write it!
P.S. I thought The Mask was cool too, but I was disappointed by
how tame it was...
"Tsurugi" means sword. "Ha" just didn't sound cool enough. ["Ha"
is the Japanese word for 'Blade']
Ryoga with silver bandannas containing real silver fibers, A
metal umbrella, Ray ban shades, and a bandoleer of metal steaks. Wearing
Gray and black instead of yellow and green/black. All this and he's
running around killing vampires with his super Martial arts abilities,
all while hunting an undead Ranma? Kick ass.
If you can't already tell I'm gonna kill some people in this one,
and I don't mean people I just make up for the story. I'm talkin cast
members here. Heh heh. So you've been warned. The first part should be
posted on Monday or Tuesday.
