This part really disturbs me.  It means that a "traveller" who's stuck,
like Kodachi, has effectively committed something close to murder.  A
spooky thougyt ...

I guess it could also be considered a murder-suicide, in a way.  The
original body is left effectively brain-dead.  A better way to look at the
combined mind is that of a gestalt because over time the two personalities
will actually merge.  AltKodachi is mainly the sum of three different
Kodachis, along with a few seasonings of other Kodachis that she only spent
a small amount of time in.  She was only the "test pilot" for the
experiment, so she didn't know what AltRanma is now starting to learn.
