Well, as a "paraphrase-ee", I'd like to say that I've seen the

entire TV

series, and I think that the best thing about Evangelion is the

opening

title sequence (music and video).

I'd agree with you if there was not so much in the series that rivaled
it.

And I still do think that it's just a new version of a giant robot

show

that stars a bunch of head cases.  ^_^

But the headcases are 85% of the appeal! ^_^
