This doesn't mean that GiTS 'fics can't be written, of course -- your
BGC/GiTS idea sounds pretty interesting -- but there's considerably less
scope.

I know of at least one BGC-GitS semi-crossover being written at this
moment. I say semi-crossover, as some characters from GitS appear as
themselves in one of the storylines of this "major" author's latest
work-in-progress, but they aren't the major focus of this particular story.
