of Key: The Metal Idol, so if I unintentionally spoil the ending for 
you, I do so innocently, since I don't know if this is how the series 
ends or not.)

   My name is Key.
   Key was once a robot.  Key is now human.   Or... so Key thinks.
   Key looks like a human.  Key's body is medically like a that of a 
human.  Key... feels... like a human.
   But Key does not age like a human.  Key does not grow old like a 
human.  Key found her 30,000 friends.  Yet, Key wanted to be able to 
go with them when it came time... for Key's existence to end.
   That has not been so.  Key has watched all of Key's friends die.  
Close and distant friends die.  All of them die.
   The world has changed since they died.  There are now many like 
Key once was.  They are called Reploids.  Most of them are polite to 
Key when Key meets them.
   There are some who kill humans.  Key met one who stops those who 
hurt the humans.  He is called X.  Key...
   Key...
   Key has fallen in love with him.
   Key does not know what to do.
   What should Key do?
