This assumes that GUtB is really sincere and just expressing dissenting
opinions. He's *not*. He's not perfectly within his rights to claim to
dislike a fanfic when he really doesn't care about the fanfic and is just
trying to get people mad.

1. GUtB has stated himself that certain genres of fanfics
(e.g.self-insertion) are not worth reading and should be deleted
unread. He thinks that all of them have the author in there as this
great god-being who solves the world's problems and marries the hero or
heroine of the storyline.

2. He believes that ongoing series aren't really fanfics because
they're not completed. Actually, the truth is that while the series
might not be completed, the different episodes of it are, and they can
be viewed separately like episodes of a running TV series. (Nielson
families don't wait until a series has completed production, they send
ratings analysis on a per episode basis.)

3. Even if you point out that the fanfic takes place in an alternate
timeline where the characters' histories were altered somewhat, he
still tells you your characters are complete OOC and that your story is
therefore boring.
